Want to know whether Red Dead Redemption 2 satchel upgrades are worth it? They most certainly are. We found ourselves regularly running out of inventory space, but increasing the capacity of your satchel means no more valuable lootings get left behind.
Once you're introduced to the camp, you'll find Pearson, doubling as the camp cook and handyman – he'll be the one you interact with most at the campsite. You'll need to hand over your hunts for the camp stew and you can upgrade your camp with cosmetics such as antlers for your tent or a nice bear skin rug. One of the more practical upgrades is to your satchel which you can modify to increase the capacity for a range of inventory items.
You'll soon discover that upgrading your satchel in Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't made easy. You'll need very specific ingredients which require a lot of perfect animal pelts as well as requirements before you can ask Pearson for an upgrade.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Leather Working Tools
To upgrade your satchel at camp you'll need Leather Working Tools, which as you can see below, is a requirement for all satchel upgrades. To unlock Leather Working Tools, you'll need to complete a mission from Strauss. You can find him after the first five campaign missions in Chapter 2 and the quest is called Money Lending and Other Sins. Once you complete this mission, a ledger will unlock behind Dutch's tent in camp. You can purchase Leather Working Tools from this ledger for $225.
