League of Legends is over fifteen years old now - yes, that one hurt me, too. As a result, it runs on pretty much everything; I spent my glory years playing on my MacBook pro with Dr Dre Beats headphones and a crappy gaming mouse. Unironically, that's when I reached my peak rank, depressing as that sounds. If you're new to the MOBA, or have downloaded it once again following a ragequit and uninstall, we've got a full list of the League of Legends system requirements for both Windows and Mac, as well as a link to our handy benchmarking tool to see whether or not your PC is up to snuff.

Windows 11
TPM 2.0 must be enabled
RAM 2GB 4GBAs expected these are all relatively low, with the only recent change to the minimum requirements being the need for DirectX 11 and a TPM 2.0-enabled OS. The latter is required to ensure baseline security, as it works in tandem with Riot's anti-cheat system, Vanguard, to verify system integrity and minimize cheating. This requirement was added with Vanguard's introduction back in 2024, and can be found in Riot's sister FPS, Valorant, as well as myriad other online games like Call of Duty and Counter-Strike 2.
League of Legends system requirements: Mac
MacOS' League of Legends system requirements are in the table below:

Is League of Legends on Steam Deck?
League of Legends is not compatible with Steam Deck. You can only play League on Windows or Mac OS - Riot doesn't support Linux, Bazzite OS, or Steam OS. Given that League of Legends (and all of Riot's games) are only available via either the developer's specific client or the Epic Games Store, I doubt we'll see this change anytime soon.
