If you have more than one mode selected in the filter, the game will randomly place you in any of the chosen game modes. Therefore, the key to playing only Team Deathmatch is to de-select every other mode from the game filter.

  1. In the menu screen of Modern Warfare 2, find a Quick Play option under the Play tab.
