As one of the most iconic villains in all of fiction, fans are eager to know the answer to the question is Darth Vader in Star Wars Jedi Survivor?

Star Wars Jedi Survivor is set to give fans the latest insight into the Star Wars universe from the point of view of Cal Kestis, himself a survivor of the infamous Order 66. As the events of the game take place between Episode 3 and Episode 4, it stands to reason that fans are curious as to whether they’ll encounter the big players in the series who were around at the same time – and none moreso than Anakin Skywalker himself, or as he’s better known: Darth Vader.

Beware spoilers ahead then from this point for Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor – but for those who want to know here’s what we know about whether Darth Vader appears in Star Wars Jedi Survivor.

Is Darth Vader in Star Wars Jedi Survivor?

While we don’t want to head too far into spoiler town and divulge exactly how or when he turns up, we can say that yes – Darth Vader does appear in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. It makes sense that the most powerful Sith Lord in the galaxy would still be a major factor following the events of the last game – which we’ll describe below if you’re wanting to jump straight into the sequel – but how exactly he factors into the ongoing story of Cal and friends, we’ll leave you to discover for yourself.

Was Darth Vader in Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order?

The big baddie was a surprise reveal towards the end of the previous entry – Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, appearing after one of the game’s toughest boss fights against the Second Sister, Trilla Suduri. Just as Cal defeats the fallen former apprentice, it looks for a moment as if she sees the error of her ways and is about to return to the Light Side. This doesn’t last long however, as Vader turns up during the hope spot and swiftly kills Trilla for failing her mission.

This then sets off a short sequence where it appears you have to battle Vader – however, as you may have guessed, it’s actually an unwinnable fight, that funnels you into a short escape sequence because of course, Vader has his own place in the Star Wars saga and ultimate fate outside of his dealings with Cal. As we said, we’re not going to spoil how he factors into Jedi Survivor here, but Vader can’t be too pleased that our hero escaped his clutches last time.
