As part of the Seek, And You Shall Find mission, you’re tasked with tracking down 12 Journalist’s Stash locations scattered across the massive Chornobyl Exclusion. You’ll need to have forked out for the Stalker 2 Deluxe Edition for the pleasure, but if you did, you’ll find a glut of excellent weapons and gear in these stashes, likely some of the best in the game.

As soon as you start the Seek, and You Shall Find side mission by picking up the Journalist’s Flash Drive in your stash in Zalissya, you’ll get all the stash locations marked on your map. But, finding them is a serious undertaking that will have you trudging through burnt out forests, irradiated wastelands, and treacherous swamps. In this guide, we’ll walk you through all the Journalist’s Stash locations in Stalker 2.

Journalist’s Stash 1 – Zalissya, Lesser Zone

You’ll find this Journalist’s Stash in the attic of a house in the north of Zalissya in the Lesser Zone region. Jump onto the hood of the blue truck to the side of the house, then onto the roof and down to a balcony. Crouch through the gap and loot the stash at the back of the attic. It contains a Mercenary’s Light Suit and PTM Monolith pistol.

Journalist’s Stash 2 – Northern Checkpoint, Lesser Zone

This one is found in the Northern Checkpoint in the very north of the Lesser Zone on the border with the Garbage region. Make your way to the very west of the Checkpoint and you’ll spot a ladder leading up a building covered in small grey tiles. Cross the roof and use the ladder then hop down onto the roof of the small adjacent building to find the stash, which contains a Viper Monolith.

Journalist’s Stash 3 – Sphere, Lesser Zone

You’ll find this stash in the grounds of the point of interest in the southeast of the Lesser Zone called Sphere. You’ll reach the area as part of the Behind Seven Seals main mission but can visit anytime. Head for the northwestern corner of the compound and follow the outer wall east to a small building with a ladder on its western side. Climb up and you’ll find the stash on the roof near some rusty pipes. Inside, you’ll find an AR416 Monolith and a PDA with an audio log.

Journalist’s Stash 4 – Detention Center, Garbage

This stash is to the east of the Detention Center in the very south of the Garbage region. Head west on the road from the Detention Center. Keep an eye on the right side of the road for an abandoned blue and white bus among piles of debris. The stash is inside and contains an M860 Monolith.

Journalist’s Stash 5 – Maze, Garbage

You’ll track this stash down in the point of interest called the Maze to the northwest of the Slag Heap in the Garbage region. Follow the path into the Maze, clearing out any mutant rats that show up. Look out for a red tank truck. Use the rubble to the right to get on top of the tank then drop down on the other side. The stash is on the ground next to a green tram. Loot it to get the Tourist Suit, one of the best early game suits you can get.

Journalist’s Stash 6 – Volkhov SAM, Rostok

This stash is in the north of the Rostok region, just northeast of the Volkhov SAM point of interest. Head to the location marked on your map and you’ll spot a low rectangular building with anomalies next to it. Enter the building from the east. Use bolts to clear the anomalies inside. The stash is at the back next to the green bunk beds. Inside, you’ll find the Riemann Integral-A gun and ammo.

Journalist’s Stash 7 – Yaniv Station, Yaniv

This Journalist’s Stash is in the trains in the rail yard immediately east of Yaniv Station in the Yaniv region, which is located in the northwest of the map sandwiched between the Red Forest and Prypiat. Head to the map marker and smash the lock on the train. Head inside and loot the stash to get the Model Competitor and some ammo.

Journalist’s Stash 8 – Army Warehouses, Chemical Plant

This stash is located in the Army Warehouses point of interest in the south of the Chemical Plant region, which is just northwest from the Lesser Zone. Head to the stash map marker and you’ll come to a building with a herd of Flesh mutants outside. Deal with them then use the yellow, rusty truck on the right to reach the awning above the front door of the building then hop through the window. Take a left, then another left into a room with half the wall missing and you’ll find the stash, which includes the Fora-221 Lullaby along with 5.45x39mm PS ammo.

Journalist’s Stash 9 – Rozyizhdzhe, Burnt Forest

This Journalist’s Stash is found in Rozyizhdzhe in the northwestern corner of the Burnt Forest region of the Zone. Head to the map marker and you’ll come to a set of burnt out, abandoned ruins. Mutants and mobile flash anomalies pepper the area, so you’ll want to get in and out quickly. Go to the westernmost ruin and use the ladder to reach a cellar. There’s a Poltergeist thermal anomaly down there. We recommend killing it by shooting at the floating, flaming blur. The stash is in the second room and contains the SSP-100M SIRCAA suit.

Journalist’s Stash 10 – Horodyshche Hamlet, Swamps

You’ll find this stash in the Horodyshche Hamlet in the southeastern region of the Swamps. Head to the marker on the map and you’ll reach a small hamlet made up of a few abandoned wooden buildings. Near the marker you’ll spot a red tractor on the edge of the village. Jump up onto the roof of the tractor, then leap across onto the small shack, then to the roof. Use your knife to break the planks and enter the attic to find the stash containing the Veteran sniper rifle along with 9x39mm PA ammo.

Journalist’s Stash 11 – Clear Sky Base, Swamps

This Journalist’s Stash is found in the very far southeast of the Swamp region and the map as a whole. It’s only accessible during and after the the Ad Astra Per Aspera main story mission. After turning off the psi beacons, go through the Warren Shack and into Clear Sky. Before diving into the bunker to meet Faust, head into the abandoned building on the left. Inside, you’ll find the stash near the frame of a rusty bunk bed. Looting the stash gets you the Wanderer Suit.

Journalist’s Stash 12 – Arms Depot, Duga

The final Journalist’s Stash is located in the Arms Depot part of the Duga region, which is in the southeast of the Zone. Approach the marker and you’ll come to a warehouse. Inside is a Controller mutant, which you’ll need to kill to get to the stash. Grenades work particularly well to deal with Controllers. Head to the back of the warehouse where you’ll find a locked gate preventing you from reaching the stash.

Turn on the generator next to the blue container on the left-side of the building, then go to the room at the top of the stairs near the back. Press the red button on the terminal to unlock the gate allowing you to access the stash. Inside, you’ll find the SA-U “Gabion” along with ammo and two flash drives, including one from the Journalist. It will point you to one final stash in Pripyat. There’s also a SEVA-I Suit resting against the green lockers that you can loot as well.
