What are Terminus enemies?

Terminus enemies are bosses that have their own health bar at the top of the screen. These are the toughest enemies in the game and often feature at the end of Operations missions but also in the Campaign. When you come across a weapon perk with a description that includes Terminus enemies, this simply means the weapon in question deals increased damage to bosses. Here’s a list of all Terminus enemies:

Terminus is the only enemy type that doesn’t reveal itself ahead of time. What we mean by this is that as you explore Operations missions, you’ll see the impending Threat Level marked at the top of your screen. This includes various enemy types like Minoris, all the way to Extermus-class foes, roughly following a tier list of difficulty and indicating how easy the threats are to defeat. Terminus threats don’t appear on screen, instead they have their own health bars when do appear.

✓ Tip

The mini-bosses that spawn in Operation on harder modes, such as the Helbrutes and Carnifex are classes as Terminus threats, too.

As you can see, there are quite a few weapons with the Terminus modifier. The Vanguard, Sniper, and Tactical classes have the best access to Terminus-killing perks. Classes like Bulwark only get it on the Power Sword and Plasma Pistol, while the Heavy has it only on the Heavy Bolter. The Assault class doesn’t get it at all.
