The split release of the game has fans wondering whether or not they should get their hands on both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Despite the differences being mainly cosmetic and related to a few exclusive Pokemons, there are enough of them to warrant a purchase of both titles for the biggest of fans. Pokemon Scarlet Vs Pokemon Violet

The first and most important thing when it comes to deciding which ones to purchase is the differences between the game. 

The Legendaries

There are the main legendaries. Koraidon is the legendary for Pokemon Scarlet whereas Miraidon is the legendary for Pokemon Violet. These are also the box art Pokemons for these titles and will serve as players’ mode of transportation in the game (as can be seen from their bike-like form in the box art).

The Professors

Another major difference which can be essential in deciding whether or not to get both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is that of the Professors. Professor Sada will be the key professor in Pokemon Scarlet whereas Professor Tura will be the main professor in Pokemon Violet. Alongside these professors are the uniforms, Pokemon Scarlet will feature orange trunks alongside a blue hat whereas Pokemon Violet will feature purple trunks alongside a white hat.

Past Vs Future

From what has been shown, it can also be inferred that the age the games are set in differ. Pokemon Scarlet seems to be set in the past whereas Pokemon Violet seems to be set in the future. The outfits of the professors, the past form of Donpham being in Pokemon Scarlet whereas the future form being in Pokemon Violet, and the stylistic differences between the games’ legendaries all seem to confirm this difference in setting.
