Research tasks in Pokémon GO are objectives you can complete for rewards. As you can see, most of the objectivesare from simply playing the game, like catching and evolving Pokémon, participating in Raids, and spending time with your Buddy Pokémon.
You can pick up these research tasks from spinning PokéStops, but they are also added to your tasks at midnight local time. You can complete as many as you’d like in a day.

At the beginning of a new month, a new round of research tasks will be introduced for players to complete. Make sure to finish all of yours before the reset, as you won’t be able to complete them once they’re gone.
