When wielding a weapon that is highly specialized for a single range, it can pay to bring along another main weapon as a backup. While it is certainly possible to go all-in on rushing down opponents and letting both barrels of the Lockwood do their work, your loadout will be more balanced overall with the aid of Overkill and a weapon tuned to long range. 

Fast Hands 

The Fast Hands perk will further increase the flexibility of your loadout, allowing you to reload and swap between weapons incredibly quickly. This reduces the chances of you being outmatched in a firefight the Lockwood is ill-equipped for.
