How to inspect your weapon in Modern Warfare 3
Press left on the D-pad or the ‘I’ key on a keyboard and mouse to inspect your weapon in Modern Warfare 3. This triggers an inspection animation that shows off the gun from multiple angles. The D-pad method works on both PlayStation and Xbox controllers. It’s a great way to showcase your weapon, especially if you stream or record gameplay. You can change this default option to another keybind based on your preferences. And yes, this applies to melee weapons like knives as well.
Inspecting your hard-earned equipment from a specific loadout is a fairly new mechanic in MW3. Call of Duty has always had interesting skins so it’s great to show them off to other players.
