The Niamey Logan data corrupt issue is an error code that pops up for players after updating MW3 with the Season 1 update. Once you update the game, you’ll get a message that reads, “Error: Your data is corrupt or didn’t download properly. You must reset your rank and unlocks to continue.”
Nobody wants to reset their ranks after grinding hard to get it unless you’ve just started playing the game in Season 1. While this has obviously caused panic for most of the affected players, here’s what you can do to try and fix the error code.

Error codes are very common for Call of Duty games, especially since the remastered Modern Warfare titles were released. Ans sometimes it’s worth delaying an update for a few days jus to see how the community receives it. That way you’ll be aware of any error codes in the new update.
How to fix MW3 data corrupt error
Just below the error message you’ll be given an option to choose “Yes or No”, click Yes. The developers are aware of the issue and have taken to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to post that, “Players logging into Season 1 may see an incorrect error message stating their data is corrupt. Rest assured that your rank, unlocks, and purchases are not lost, although Loadouts, customization, and certain settings may be reset.”
Losing loadout, customisation and other settings still doesn’t sit right with many players but that might be the sacrifice they have to make in order to keep their ranks, unlocks, purchases and other important items they can’t afford to lose. So far we’ve only received a minor update aimed at fixing, “An issue causing player’s being unable to acquire the correct Custom Loadout Weapons.”
While you may not be able to access the new season right away, the silver lining is that the developers are aware of the error and are working towards releasing an update to fix it. We’ll be sure to keep this page updated once an update has been deployed.
