Madden 24 is back with even more superstar abilities and X-Factors. These can impact the gameplay every single time you play. Whether it’s just a boosted ability to run out routes or a serious increase in throwing power for your quarterback, the game can change quickly thanks to these Madden 24 abilities. Here are the best ones.

What is the best Madden 24 X-Factor ability?

The best overall X-Factor ability is Double Me. This pass-catcher ability allows your player to win aggressive catches against single coverage. If someone like Justin Jefferson is covered by a lone defender, you can throw a lobbed pass and do an aggressive catch. If Double Me is activated, that ball will be caught more often than not.

That X-Factor ability only works for certain players, though. The best one for a quarterback is arguably Run and Gun. This allows the quarterback to have perfect passing while on the run. When avoiding a sack, someone like Patrick Mahomes can toss a perfect pass to a receiver and turn a potentially negative play into something positive.

For halfbacks, First One Free is an excellent X-Factor ability. This grants a high fakeout rate on the very next move. If you’re running in the open field and try a spin move, it will have a higher success rate. The same is true for a hurdle or juke of any kind.

On defense, the best defensive back ability is Zone Hawk. When in zone coverage, the chance of an interception for that player is greatly increased. Many Madden NFL players play zone coverage, and this is an excellent partner for that.

Other defenders can make great use of the Reinforcement ability. This can apply to all players, and it increases their block shedding efficacy against run blocking. It also grants a higher chance for breaking up passes. This improves tackle ability as well as pass defense, so it’s a good one to employ.

What is the best Superstar ability?

The best Superstar ability is Acrobat. This allows players to have increased range when diving. This applies to passes thrown their way (WR/TE/HB) or potential interceptions (CB/SS/FS). It can be used both ways, and it can be the difference between catching a ball that would otherwise just be incomplete.

However, that Superstar ability really only applies to pass-catchers and defensive backs. There are other great Madden Superstar abilities that other positions can make use of. For quarterbacks, Fearless is the best ability. With this, defensive pressure is all but removed when the QB’s feet are set in the pocket on offense.

The best Madden 24 Superstar ability for a running back is Backfield Master. This ability means that when a player is lined up in the backfield (usually the halfback), they have access to four more hot routes, increased route running attributes, and improved catching against linebackers and linemen. Receiving out of the backfield can be a huge weapon, and this makes it even more dangerous.

Pass-rushers on defense can utilize the El Toro ability. Defenders with this will receive dominant bull rush wins when their pass rush points are full. This is a great way to easily get to the opponent’s quarterback for a sack.

Non-coverage players who don’t usually rush the passer, such as linebackers, will greatly benefit from the Lurker ability. Defenders with this ability can make unbelievable interceptions while lurking in a zone in the middle of the field. If your defense is in zone, chances are the linebacker is in the middle. With this ability, they can intercept almost any pass in their zone.

Madden 24’s abilities come in two categories: X-Factors and Superstars. Good players get the latter, such as Aaron Rodgers having Dashing Deadeye. The true elite players get X-Factors. For example, Patrick Mahomes has Bazooka.
