Madden 24 has introduced a new program to honor past cover stars, aptly titled Cover Athletes. There have been loads of different cover stars in the game’s history, ranging from Shaun Alexander (Madden NFL 07) to Antonio Brown (Madden 19). Those players can finally be honored in Madden 24 thanks to the newest program.

There are currently 16 items in the Madden 24 Cover Athletes set, with eight individual players getting cards. There have been three releases, with more planned along the way. It’s probable that most Madden cover stars will get a card.

Each player card also has a lower-rated (92 OVR for everyone except Fitzgerald and Polamalu, who are 93 OVR) version that can be a lot cheaper. For example, the 93 OVR Richard Sherman card is currently going for three million coins on the Auction House. The 92 OVR card is going for 819,000, which is paltry by comparison.

In the future, look for other Madden cover athletes like Vince Young, Larry Fitzgerald, or Calvin Johnson to make their way into the game.

Madden 24 Cover Athletes Release Date

Madden 24 Cover Athletes is released weekly on Mondays. At 1:30pm EST, which is the time slot they used to release AKA players in, the cards will be live. They’ll be revealed on Sundays beforehand, so players will know exactly what they need to play for.
