It’s arguably one of the best swords in the game, or at least, while you hoover up all the side quests and activities in the Trosky region. It’s well worth learning the Sketch and smithing up one. In this guide, we’ll walk you through where to get the Knight’s Sword recipe in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

To get the Knight’s Sword recipe, you’ll need to visit the Blacksmith Osina in Trosky Castle, who will sell it to Henry for 672 groschen. It’s listed at Sketch – Knight’s Sword under books in his shop inventory. You can likely get it down by 50 groschen or so with some haggling. You’ll generally find Osina next to the forge up in the courtyard in the very west of the castle, just to the left of Henry’s bed.
Once you’ve bought the Knight’s Sword recipe, open up your inventory, go to the Books tab, select the sketch, then hold the learn button (E on PC, X on PS5, or A on Xbox). In theory, you can then interact with any anvil across Bohemia and craft up the sword as long as you have the required materials.
But, there’s a bug that prevents the recipe from making its way into your crafting recipes list. Try as you might to learn it, it just won’t show up under Swords in the Crafting tab. Short of a patch in the near future, the only solution to fix this is to download and use the Fix My Recipes mode. You can download it over on Nexus mods. It goes in and patches up the missing blacksmith recipes, including the Knight’s Sword sketch.

If you’d rather not faff around with mods, you can pick up a fully forged Knight’s Sword out in the forest to the north of Zhelejov Wagoner’s Inn. Check the image above for the exact spot. You’re looking for a skeleton and a stone cross resting against a large tree on top of the rock formation. The sword is being held by the skeleton. The sword has the following stats, though you’ll need 16 Strength and 20 Agility to wield it properly:
- Stab Damage – 88
- Slash Damage – 93
- Blunt Damage – 28
- Defense – 225
- Durability – 238
It’s no quite the same as having the recipe and forging your own, but it’s the only option if don’t want to bother with mods until Warhorse cooks up a permanent fix.
