Is Redfall playable solo? Hunting and slaying vampires in the dark is always easier – and much less frightening – when you’re with friends. But even though Bethesda and Arkane Studios have been heavily marketing their FPS creation as a cooperative creation, you may still be wondering whether you can play it by yourself or not.
So if crossplay isn’t your cup of tea and you want to experience eradicating vampires solo à la Van Helsing, then keep reading on to find out about its availability in the game. Before you continue on, though, we suggest checking out the Redfall system requirements on PC to make sure that your system can run it properly.
Can you play Redfall solo?
Yes, Redfall is playable solo, however, you’ll still be accompanied by three other AI-controlled characters even when you play by yourself. The game’s solo mode was confirmed through a Q&A conducted by Arkane Studios through their Discord server wherein fans were asked to submit questions about the thrilling FPS project.
One user named QuietGamer90 submitted the following question during the session: “How well does the difficulty scale up solo vs co-op?” Although they didn’t directly ask whether the game would have a solo mode or not, it still confirmed the fact that you’ll be able to play the game by yourself.
It’s important to keep in mind, though, that the difficulty will scale “as you progress through the campaign” so the enemies you encounter will eventually become harder to take down. However, you should still have a much easier time defeating vampires solo compared to if you were in a party since the game’s difficulty system also takes the number of real players into account.
Now that you know it can be played solo, we suggest checking out Redfall’s availability on Game Pass as well so you can simply subscribe in order to play it.
