Wondering whether the MW3 beta is free? We’ve got an answer for you. It’s that time of the year again when Activision is giving players early beta access for an upcoming Call of Duty instalment. This year, the focus is on Modern Warfare 3, and early access for the PC beta starts on October 12, with the Open Beta for all other platforms set to launch on October 14.

Is Modern Warfare 3’s beta free to play?

Yes, the second week of the MW3 beta is free to play for PlayStation users as an open beta while Xbox and PC users can play the game as Early Access. 

The MW3 crossplay beta early access will commence on Thursday, October 12, and run through Friday, October 13. Also, all eligible platforms will have open beta access to MW3 from Saturday, October 14, until the beta wraps up on Monday, October 16.

After the conclusion of the MW3 beta, players across all platforms will need to patiently await the game’s global release on November 10.
