However, you’ll quickly realize that you can’t quite use the mysteriously injured Paradox Pokemon for battle. Instead, they only assist trainers as their Ride Pokemon to traverse through the rugged terrains of Paldea.

For many trainers, this begs the question: How do you use Koraidon or Miraidon in battle? After all, they’re part of the Paldean Pokedex for a good reason.

This guide will try to end your confusion once and for all, so sit back while we take you through the process of unlocking the elusive Battle form for Koraidon and Miraidon.

Here’s how to use Koraidon and Miraidon in Battle in Pokemon Scarlet And Violet

After your character stumbles across the box legendary at the beginning of the game, Koraidon or Miraidon joins it for their Pokemon adventures as their Ride Pokemon. The only way to unlock their Battle Form is to complete the three main storylines.

In short, you’ll have to defeat the Elite Four, beat the five Titan Pokemon, and take down your adversaries in Starfall Street. Completing these three tasks will open up the Great Crater of Paldea for exploration.

Area Zero/Great Crater Of Paldea

Area Zero is home to the ancient or futuristic Paradox Pokemon, depending on your game version.

You can assemble a team to explore the deep pits of the crater, and at the furthest depths, you’ll find a duplicate of your version’s box legendary.

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s lore, the second beast usurped the player’s legendary Koraidon or Miraidon as the Paradox Pokemons leader.

So to complete your mission, you have to help your partner legendary in reclaiming the throne.

Battling Koraidon And Miraidon – how to battle against these Pokemon

Once you encounter the enemy Koraidon or Miraidon, your own legendary will be available for battle, as you’ll need it to defeat your opponent. You’ll be prompted as to whether you want to change your Ride Pokemon to their Battle form. After accepting, you’ll be thrown into battle against the opposing box legendary.

Defeating it will trigger the ending credits cut scene, and you’ll return to the main menu. The game hardly ends here, though, since you can load back in and continue your Pokemon journey with a ton more options to explore.

Even better, your Koraidon or Miraidon can be changed into Battle Form whenever you want.

The only condition you’ll have to fulfill is that you must have an empty slot in your Pokemon party whenever you shift your Ride Pokemon into its Battle Form.

When in Battle Form, you can’t ride your box legendary around the map until you revert back into its Ride Form
