Sometimes we have to take a short break when playing Fortnite. It’s not a bad idea to stand up, do some stretches, and rest for a couple of matches during long gaming hours. It can help you get back to your top form, especially if you’ve been playing for quite a while. This applies to LEGO Fortnite too.

How to sit out in Fortnite without leaving your party

Follow these steps to find out how to sit out:

  • Open up the Fortnite menu.
  • Click on your Fortnite profile icon.
  • Find the “Participation” option. This should be the third option from the top.
  • Change your participation status from “Playing” to “Sitting Out.”

You should now see the status above your character change to “sitting out.” You’re automatically excluded from queues in the next games until you change back to “playing.”

Why sit out in a Fortnite party

Instead of leaving the party, you can simply sit out in Fortnite. Sitting out will tell your squad that you aren’t queueing for the next match but would still like to rejoin them once you’re available.
