Fu Xuan is a new five-star Preservation Quantum character added in patch 1.3. She is the featured character on the banner and will remain so until patch 1.4 begins. As a Preservation unit, Fu Xuan is amazing at tanking hits and defending allies with her defensive capabilities. Due to this, the best builds for Fu Xuan will focus on her defence and HP, letting her take hits for the team and keep everyone alive.
Fu Xuan’s kit lets her attack and defend, with her Skill redirecting most damage your allies take directly over to Fu Xuan instead. This is excellent in keeping your weaker units alive, especially if they happen to get targeted. Fu Xuan will be the difference between life and death in a ton of fights, which is why Fu Xuan’s best build is as a tank.

Fu Xuan best Light Cones
The best light cone for Fu Xuan is She Already Shut Her Eyes, which is Fu Xuan’s signature five-star Light Cone. Fu Xuan is a Preservation character who doesn’t utilise shields, instead, Fu Xuan is more of a defensive support who can mitigate team-wide damage, making her extremely useful at keeping your party alive. Outside of Fu Xuan’s signature Light Cone, you can use any Preservation Light Cone that gives good Defense and HP.
With that in mind, Fu Xuan has plenty of free-to-play and four-star Light Cone options that work brilliantly for her, so don’t worry if you don’t have any of the five-star cones. Fu Xuan requires a ton of HP since this is her main scaling stat that helps grant HP to party members and absorb damage for them.

When the wearer’s HP is reduced, all allies’ DMG dealt increases by 9.0%, for 2 turns. When the wearer is attacked, increase their DEF by an extra 24% until the end of the wearer’s turn.Texture of Memories5-StarIncreases the wearer’s Effect RES by 8%. If the wearer is attacked and has no Shield, they gain a Shield equal to 16% of their Max HP for 2 turn(s). This effect can only be triggered once every 3 turns. If the wearer has a Shield when attacked, the DMG they receive decreases by 12%.Landau’s Choice4-StarThe wearer is more likely to be attacked, but DMG taken is reduced by 16%. Effects of the same type cannot stack.Defense3-StarWhen you use your Ultimate, restore HP to yourself based on 30% of your max HP.Since many of us don’t have the five-star Light Cones, Fu Xuan can benefit greatly from Landau’s Choice. If you have Texture of Memories from Herta’s Store, this is an incredible alternative to other 5-star light cones, and it is F2P friendly since you can buy it with in-game currency from Herta.
Fu Xuan best Relics and Planar Ornament
Fu Xuan’s best Relic set is the Longevous Disciple mixed with Guard of Wuthering Snow. Fu Xuan’s best Planar Ornament set is Broken Keel. Fu Xuan wants to be your tank on the frontlines, taking hits and helping her allies. Giving Fu Xuan the two-piece Longevous Disciple and the two-piece Guard of Wuthering Snow will increase her max HP and decrease all damage taken, both of which are perfect for Fu Xuan.
Fu Xuan does not provide shields despite being a Preservation character. Instead, Fu Xuan redirects a portion of the damage done to party members to herself, which helps your weaker units take more hits. The amount of damage redirected and reduced to Fu Xuan is based on her HP, which is the main stat you want to focus on.

Wearing two Guard of Wuthering Snow and two Longevous Disciple Relics are the best Relic sets for Fu Xuan. It provides a damage reduction boost and an increase to Fu Xuan’s max HP.Planar OrnamentBroken KeelTwo-piece bonus: Increases the wearer’s Effect RES by 10%. When the wearer’s Effect RES is at 30% or higher, all allies’ CRIT DMG increases by 10%.Broken Keel is the best Planar Ornament set for Fu Xuan. This set bonus will increase her Effect RES and give allies a boost to Crit DMG. Fu Xuan will easily get this bonus since her Effect RES can be raised through her Traces.
To break it down in simple terms, Fu Xuan doesn’t have any other role than being a tank. Due to this, her Relics and Planar Ornaments must be defence-orientated sets. It is important to note that we don’t recommend using the Belobog of the Architects set since this increases Fu Xuan’s Defence stat, which isn’t entirely necessary.
When it comes to main and substats on your sets, you want to focus on HP, Speed and Energy Regen. Defence on your Relics shouldn’t be a main priority, but if you happen to get any on your substats, there is no harm at all. Generally speaking, HP is the primary focus for Fu Xuan.

Fu Xuan’s talents must be levelled to ensure her damage reduction and redirection can be as effective as possible. You should level Fu Xuan’s Traces in this order: Skill, Talent, and then UItimate. You should only focus on Fu Xuan’s Ultimate and Basic Attack if you have maxed out her Skill and Talent, otherwise they are simply not worth sinking any resources into.
TraceEffectBasic AttackDeals Quantum DMG equal to a single target.SkillActivates Matrix of Prescience, via which other team members will Distribute 65% of the DMG they receive (before this DMG is mitigated by any Shields) to Fu Xuan for 3 turns. While affected by Matrix of Prescience, all team members gain the Knowledge effect, which increases their respective Max HP by 3% of Fu Xuan’s Max HP, and increases CRIT Rate by 6%. When Fu Xuan is knocked down, the Matrix of Prescience will be dispelled.UltimateDeals Quantum DMG to all enemies and obtains 1 trigger count for the HP Restore effect granted by Fu Xuan’s talent.TalentWhen Fu Xuan is still active in combat, she can apply Misfortune Avoidance for the entire team. With Misfortune Avoidance, allies take 10% less DMG. When Fu Xuan’s current HP falls below 50%, HP Restore will be triggered for Fu Xuan, restoring her HP by 80% of the amount she is currently missing. This effect cannot be triggered if she receives a killing blow. This effect possesses 1 trigger count by default and can have a maximum of 2 trigger counts.TechniqueAfter the Technique is used, all team members receive a Barrier, lasting for 20 seconds. This Barrier can block all enemy attacks, and the team will not enter battle when attacked. Entering battle while the Barrier is active will have Fu Xuan automatically activate Matrix of Prescience at the start of the battle, lasting for 2 turns.Bonus AbilityWhen Matrix of Presence is active, Fu Xuan will regenerate 20 Energy when she uses her Skill.Bonus AbilityWhen Fu Xuan’s Ultimate is used, heals all other allies by an amount equal to 5% of Fu Xuan’s Max HP plus 133.Bonus AbilityIf a target enemy applies Crowd Control debuffs to allies while the Matrix of Prescience is active, all allies will resist all Crowd Control debuffs applied by the enemy target during the current action. This effect can only be triggered once. When Matrix of Prescience is activated again, the number of times this effect can be triggered will reset.Fu Xuan Eidolons
As usual, we don’t ever recommend pulling on featured character banners to get Eidolons simply because it costs an absurd amount of real-world money for such a low chance to get the character. However, if you are interested in Fu Xuan’s Eidolons, then knowing which ones to aim for is beneficial.
EidolonResonance EffectE1 – Dominus PacisThe Knowledge effect increases CRIT DMG by 30%.E2 – Optimus FelixIf any team member is struck by a killing blow while Matrix of Prescience is active, then all allies who were struck by a killing blow during this action will not be knocked down, and 70% of their Max HP is restored. Fu Xuan’s Ultimate DMG will increase by 200% of this tally of HP loss. This tally is also capped at 120% of Fu Xuan’s Max HP and the tally value will reset and re-accumulate after Fu Xuan’s Ultimate is used.
Fu Xuan’s best Eidolons are by far her E2, which gives Fu Xuan an in-battle revive.
