Is Ghost of Yotei coming to PC? Securely ensconced in the grip of PlayStation exclusivity, there’s naturally some questions about if and when Sony will loosen its grip and let the action-adventure trot on over to PC. We eventually saw the likes of Death Stranding, Horizon Forbidden West, and Spider-Man to cite a few make the jump, aligning with Sony’s strategy of a “very measured, very deliberate approach” to launching its prized exclusive on PC.
But, PlayStation took its time with each of these games so if you’re planning on playing Ghost of Yotei on anything other than Sony’s plasticky, white UFO, then you’re in for a wait. Here’s what we know about Ghost of Yotei coming to PC.
When will Ghost of Yotei come to PC?
As it stands, there’s been no official communication around whether Ghost of Yotei is coming to PC or if Sony has even made a decision to do so. For perspective, the original Ghost of Tsushima released in July 2020, but it then took nearly four years for the Director’s Cut to land on PC. In other words, if it is happening, it won’t be for a few years at least.
Speaking speculatively, we imagine Sony is waiting on the critical response to Ghost of Yotei, launch sales numbers, and those in the subsequent few months before it green-lights work on a PC port or decides to keep it as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. They could pull a Bloodborne on us. Fingers crossed that doesn’t happen.
In the meantime, if you are the proud owner of a PS5, it’s worth eyeing the pre-order bonuses up for grabs to see if it’s worth shelling out for an early copy.
