But for now, let’s take a look at how to clear the cache in FM24.

How to clear cache in FM24

To clear the cache, boot up FM. Either from the start menu or in-game, open up the Preferences menu. From here, open up the ‘Reset’ drop-down menu in the bottom left corner of the Preferences menu. Now, just simply click the ‘Clear Cache’ option. This will clear the game’s cache.

Once you’ve cleared the cache folder, close the game and start it back up again. Any missing files from deleting the cache will be restored, and this will hopefully solve any issues you had previously.

Typically, issues can be caused by mods such as skin packs and layouts, which can be completely reset by clearing the cache. This will remove the skins from your files, meaning you would have to re-install them if you wanted that interface change, but it’s worth it if it fixes your bugs.
