James Ward-Prowse is one of the only proverbial free-kick merchants in the game right now. The West Ham midfielder made a name for himself with his stellar set pieces for Southampton, and now only sits behind David Beckham for the most Premier League free-kick goals, and that ability is reflected in his 94 free-kick accuracy, making him the top free-kick taker in FC 25.

Messi is still rated a very respectable 88 OVR one year into his stint in the MLS, and while this is a downgrade on his 90 OVR last year, he’s still likely to be among the very best free-kick takers in the game. He has a 92 Free-Kick Accuracy, 93 Curve, and a decent if a little underwhelming 83 Shot Power, placing him comfortably in second place.

Dani Parejo – Villareal CF

Dani Parejo is infamous in FC for two things – his snail-like pace and his excellence at set pieces. The man can kick a ball, and that’s reflected in his 90 free-kick accuracy and 88 curve stats. He might not be able to cover a lot of ground these days, but if you’re after someone who can ping in free-kicks like they were nothing, Parejo is your man.

While these are the very best of the best when it comes to free-kicks, that doesn’t mean they’re the only ones capable of taking them. Many of the outright best players in FC 25 will be able to take a decent free-kick too, although perhaps not Mbappe who seems incapable of scoring even one.
