As you make your way through Belurat, Tower Settlement, you might come across a Storeroom Key that seemingly leads to a fairly useless NPC. There is, however, more than meets the eye with this one and you can get yourself a somewhat hidden spell out of it. Let’s get into where to find the Storeroom Key and how to get the Watchful Spirit Incantation in Shadow of the Erdtree.

You will find the Storeroom Key in the Belurat, Tower Settlement Legacy Dungeon. To find it, follow the path up from the Small Private Altar Site of Grace. Go up the stairs, past the horned knight, take a right and then two lefts. When you reach the waterway, take a right to go into a room with a ladder. The key is on a corpse at the top of the ladder. With the key in hand, you now need to go ahead and beat the Divine Beast Dancing Lion at the end of this dungeon. We have a full in-depth guide for that if you’re struggling.

When you kill the Dancing Lion, you will get the Divine Beast Head helmet. Now, with this and the Storeroom Key in hand, return to the Small Private Altar Site of Grace. Take a left to cross the bridge and kill those pesky shadow people. Go forward and use the key on the door on your left.

Previous Next 1 of 4 Previous NextOpen up the door and you’ll notice that there is an NPC sitting on a stone table. If you try and talk to her, she will say absolutely nothing. According to the game map, she is called the Hornsent Grandmam. You can probably kill her if you want, but if you equip the Divine Beast Head helmet you just got and talk to her, she will have plenty to say. You’ll realise this woman is the person who recites the incantation you hear when you first fight the dancing lion.
Chat with her twice and she will then reward you with the Watchful Spirit Incantation. You must talk to her twice. After you’ve spoken once while wearing the beast head, you can take it off and she’ll keep talking normally. In case you’re wondering, your hint to equip this is the fact that FromSoft used this trick in Demon’s Souls. Jokes aside, you’ll notice another Divine Beast head on the table to her left; this was clue enough for us to test it out. The incantation itself is fairly useless, but it’s a nice little secret.
