The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring is full of hidden locations with one such location being the Cathedral of Manus Metyr. You may have seen this location mentioned as part of Ymir’s questline or perhaps you are just wondering how to reach the northeast section of the map.

If you plan on exploring the entirety of the Lands of Shadow, you will want to make sure you take the route out to the Cathedral of Manus Metyr. You will want to be careful, however, because this route can prove to be quite dangerous. There are multiple foes to watch out for so be on your guard.

Shadow of the Erdtree Cathedral of Manus Metyr location

The route to the Cathedral of Manus Metyr is a long one. To begin, you will need to make your way to the Moorth Ruins. This is the area where you can fight Dryleaf Dane to get the Martial Arts weapons. Once you arrive here, locate the collapsed building where there is a hole in the ground. It is around the centre of the ruins and difficult to overlook.

Jump down the hole in the ruins using Torrent. We had the best luck sticking to the left wall of the hole as there are more areas to land. Be careful as there are multiple enemies down below. When you reach the bottom of the hole, turn to the southeast and follow the tunnel to a ladder. This will lead you to Bonny Village and a Site of Grace.

Follow the road heading east through Bonny Village and cross the gap with the destroyed bridge. Continue along this path and you will cross two large wooden bridges. At the end of the second bridge, you will find the Bridge Leading to the Village Site of Grace. From here, continue along the path north, going through the forest and past the large fire pyre enemy. This will lead you to the Church District Highroad Site of Grace.

From this last Site of Grace, continue following the road as it curves to the south. The road will come to an end at the Church of Manus Metyr. You may now meet Ymir and start his questline.
