Looking for a Diablo 4 Brought to Heel quest walkthrough? Finishing side quests in Diablo 4 can increase your Renown which offers players valuable perks for completing tasks across Sanctuary. This can be done across all of Diablo 4’s five regions: Fractured Peaks, Scosglen, Hawezar, Dry Steppes, and Kehjistan.

Brought to Heel is a simple side quest at the Forsaken Coast in Hawezar and completing it nets you 20 Renown. You can get Renown from finding altars of Lilith and clearing side dungeons too. If you’re looking for more renown, check out the Diablo 4 Fractured Peaks Waypoint locations and how to get a mount in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 Brought to Heel walkthrough

To complete the Brought to Heel quest in Diablo 4, you must collect a red mushroom for Lumir and return to him in east Hawezar. Here is a complete breakdown of the quest:

  1. Start the Brought to Heel quest by talking to Lumir. He can be found in the top right corner of Blackwater, a town in the Hawezar region of Sanctuary. This northern subregion is also known as the Forsaken Coast.

2. Go to the area marked on the map called Exile’s Heap. It’ll be right above the town where Lumir resides.

3. Once you’re in the huge blue circle, head to the top of the region. The screenshot below is a good indicator of where you should be.

4. For some reason, you cannot detect or collect Wild Red Mushrooms while mounted on a horse. Dismount before you start looking for them. You might have to slay a few enemies in the area.

5. Gather the Red Mushrooms from the mushroom patch. Return to Lumir, the quest NPC, to finish the Brought to Heel quest.

Congrats, you’ve completed the Brought to Heel quest in Diablo 4. This one’s particularly tricky because it can’t be finished on horseback despite being a fetch quest. Get off your horse before looking for the mushrooms and you should be able to turn in the quest in no time.

Players who finish this quest will receive a Rare item, XP, and Gold as rewards. You also get the aforementioned 20 Hawezar Renown points, essential to gain extra Diablo 4 healing potions. Get enough Renown via optional content and you’ll get more than additional potion capacity and skill points. At higher World Tiers of difficulty, you can also get Paragon Points to upgrade your Paragon Board. With more healing potions, you can work your way through these Fractured Peaks dungeons in Diablo 4 with ease. Now that you know how to finish the quest, start working on the Diablo 4 Brought to Heel quest.
