Gaining access to developer mode in Cities Skylines 2 involves editing the launch options of the game. This lets you unlock new features currently unavailable in the game. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to access the developer console in Cities Skylines 2:

  • Head to properties – Access Cities Skylines 2’s Properties window by right-clicking on it in the Steam client.
  • Add code to launch options – Then Edit Launch Options in the General tab by adding the code “–developerMode”
  • Save changes and load game – Press OK to save the changes you have made. Then load up the game.
  • Press “Tab” – Hit the “Tab” key to activate developer mode. This may freeze your display for a moment.
  • This will bring up a black window on the left side of the screen. Press “Tab” again to hide the debug window.
