Black Ops 6 offers plenty of different challenges for players while playing the game. For instance, when you queue up for multiplayer mode, you will be offered three daily challenges to complete and earn massive chunks of XP. One of them tasks you to get 10 point blank kills. Similarly, certain weapon camo challenges task you with getting close-range kills too. But getting those kills can be trickier than it sounds. We’ll explain what qualifies as point blank kills in Black Ops 6 and how to get them.

What are point blank kills in BO6?

Point blank kills require that you kill an enemy from up close. In previous CoD titles like Modern Warfare 3, the distance needed to be 5 meters or less. But in Black Ops 6, the game seems to register them only when you’re much closer than that – with your weapon practically touching the enemy, in melee range. This can be challenging to achieve with the game’s hectic pace. You’ll know that you scored a point blank kill when you see a medal pop up on the screen, similar to how you get wall-bang, long-shot, and other kill medals during the match.

✓ On melee weapons

Kills with melee weapons like knife and bat should count as point blank. However, some players have reported that they don’t always trigger the medal. This is likely a bug, so hopefully it gets fixed soon, but is something to be mindful of.

Tips and tricks to get more point blank kills

You shoulstatic.aayyy.com/topic/dn/’t expect to get many point blank kills while playing a sniper. Similarly, playing too cautiously won’t give you many opportunities to get those kills. With that in mind, here’s what we recommend you try:

  • Use close-range weapons – Even if you get up close with most weapons, they might not do a good job of scoring a kill. Consider using SMGs and Shotguns, like the C9 and Marine SP to make it easy to get point blank kills quickly.
  • Add attachments that increase mobility – Getting to grips with your enemy fast is instrumental to getting those point blank kills. Prioritize equipping your weapon with attachments that increase mobility, so you can get within range faster.
  • Use stealth – Instead of rushing your enemies, you can sneak up on them instead. Use perks like Ghost and Ninja, add a suppressor to your gun, and use the Acoustic Amp Field upgrade – all of which can help you move stealthily to get the close-range kill.
  • Play the Face Off Moshpit map – This mode takes place on a small map while pitting players in a 6v6 match. That means that you’ll all be clumped pretty close together, making it easier to get point blank kills. The map Stakeout is one of the best – if not the best – to do this on.
  • Use Perks – There are several Perks that you can equip that will help you get close to the enemy to score point blank kills. For instance, Gung-Ho and Double Time will make your Tac Sprint more efficient. Assassin will reveal enemies on killstreaks, while Ghost makes you invisible to enemy radar pings, UAVs and Prox Alarms. You can also use Tracker and Ninja to follow enemy footsteps and sneak up on them.
  • Equip and use a Flashbang – Flashbang is a tactical utility that can be used with our other tips to give you a slight edge. If your enemy is blinded, you’ll have an easier time getting close enough for a kill.

Getting point blank kills can be tough in Black Ops 6, so we recommend that you also tailor your controls to make everything easier – so check out our suggestions for best controller settings and best mouse and keyboard settings.
