As soon as you touch the Peculiar Lamp, you will get trapped inside and a Djinni by the name of Yafeu will be set free. Unfortunately, this seems to be a bad way to go for any adventurer.
Earlier in the chapter, you can visit the Circus of Last Days. Here, you will want to know how to beat Akabi the Djinn. That way you can get a powerful weapon. Another difficult situation can be found in side Cazador’s Palace. For this, you will want to know how to unlock the sinister door in Baldur’s Gate 3.
So you found yourself trapped in a Djinni Lamp. It will help if you have a strong sorcerer build in Baldur’s Gate 3 so you can best this dastardly foe. This guide will show you how to escape the Djinni Lamp in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Where to find the Djinni Lamp in Baldur’s Gate 3
If you are hunting for the Djinni Lamp, start by going to Sorcerous Sundries in Baldur’s Gate. This is a large magic shop near the Lower City Wall Waypoint. Once there, go up the stairs and hang a left. Follow the hallway to a door.
Image by VideoGamerYou will want to sneak here or use a scroll of invisibility. This will help you get past the guard and into the Sorcerous Vault. Use the portal and it will take you into the vault. From there, go into the small hallway between the two larger rooms.

Enter this secret room to find the lamp containing the Djinni Yafeu. This is just one of the many magical artefacts that the Wizard Lorroakan is keeping in the vault.

Interacting with the lamp will cause whoever touched it to get sucked into the lamp. They will disappear and all other allies will be left outside in the room. To get around this little trick, you can use the Mage Hand spell.
Have a Mage Hand give the lamp a little rub and it will replace the Djinni, sparing your party member from being trapped in the lamp for eternity. This is the perfect opportunity to save scum in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Image by VideoGamerLet’s say you fell for the trap and are stuck in the lamp. Getting out is actually pretty simple. Loot the area and you will find a Scroll of Summon Quasit in a chest. There are also assorted potions and other exciting things.
Use this scroll or use a regular summon if you have any. We prefer the scroll as to now waste a spell slot. Whatever creature you summon will automatically take the place of whatever character is the current occupant of the lamp.
As soon as your character is free of the lamp, you can choose to let the Djinni go or attack him. Attacking him will not give you any unique magical items but it will get you some revenge and experience.
That is how you escape from the Djinni Lamp in Baldur’s Gate 3. You can also check out our guide on how to build Astarion. Make him your most powerful ally. You might also be interested in an explanation about the Guardian in Baldur’s Gate 3.
