Nestled in the leafy mountains to the southwest of Kyoto in Yamashiro’s Eagle’s Nest sub-region is the Ancient Tomb of Nanjo. Head inside and you’ll soon discover that it’s a labyrinthine mess of caves, slippery ramps, crawl spaces, and shallow ponds that circle back on one another. This all makes finding the treasure concealed within the tomb harder than you’d expect.
