You’ll need to collect lots of different Modules to progress your TFD characters. They make up some of the most substantial power scales in the game. Some of them are specific to different characters and weapons, while some can influence even the ammo type of certain guns. That is the case for the Mental Focus Module, which uses General and Special Rounds – some of the most typical ammo you’ll use throughout the game.

Mental Focus modules can drop from many sources out in the game world and there is a good possibility that you have a few in your inventory simply through playing the game. There are two versions that you should be on the lookout for – with General Rounds affix and Special Rounds affix.
You can get the General Rounds Mental Focus Module by playing through the Sterile Land region on Normal difficulty. Meanwhile, you can get the Special Rounds Mental Focus Module by playing through the Vespers region on Normal difficulty. Then, you can get both versions in the Hagios region on Normal.

We suggest farming the Ruins Modification Base in Hagios on Hard difficulty to get the Special Rounds module version. For the General Rounds version, we suggest going for the Ransacked Village mission on Hard, found in Hagios as well. Both of these missions offer a 5% chance to get the module while being pretty quick to complete, and therefore easy to farm.
What is the Mental Focus Module for?
Mental Focus Modules of either variant have an effect on your fire rate and damage. Specifically, they lower the weapon’s rate of fire with their specific ammo type, while increasing the ATK stat by a percentage that stacks the longer you fire. In a nutshell, this stat increases the gun’s damage the longer you keep firing. However, you lose the accumulated stacks if you reload or change the gun.
This module is an overall net positive whenever you fight elite monsters and bosses. The trade-off being that you’d fire slower, but you want to pump more damage into those enemies anyway. The best way to use this module is with any weapon with a large magazine size, such as gattling and machine guns. One such gun is the Tamer Machine gun, which pairs particularly well with a Mental Focus Module.
