Blue Archive Koyuki Build Guide 2026: Best Skills, Equipment & Team Comps
Koyuki is a 3-star Mystic Striker Attacker in Blue Archive. She is a Back-position damage dealer from Millennium Science School and uses a Machine Gun as her weapon type. Her main role is simple: she provides Mystic AoE damage through a 4-cost EX Skill and a multi-target Basic Skill. She is not a healer, tank, or support unit, so her build should focus on improving her damage output.
This guide focuses on the regular version of Koyuki, not Koyuki (Pajama). Her kit is still useful in 2026 for players who need Mystic AoE damage, especially in general content, event stages, and some raid situations. However, she should be viewed as a solid AoE attacker rather than a must-pull top-tier carry.

Main Weakness
Random EX damage type causes some inconsistency
Koyuki is best used when enemies are grouped together. Her EX Skill hits enemies inside a circular area, while her Basic Skill can damage one target and up to two nearby enemies every 30 seconds. This makes her better at clearing groups than fighting single bosses.
Koyuki Skills Explained
EX Skill: Tricky Variables
Koyuki’s EX Skill, Tricky Variables, costs 4 and throws one random bomb at enemies in a circular area. The bomb can be Bullet, Electric Field, or Flame, and each version has a different damage multiplier. At EX Lv.5, Bullet deals 444% of ATK, Electric Field deals 421% of ATK, and Flame deals 398% of ATK.
This is her main damage skill. The range is useful for clearing grouped enemies, but the random bomb effect means her exact damage is not perfectly consistent. In most normal stages, this randomness is not a major problem. In harder content where precise damage matters, it can make her less reliable than some other Mystic attackers.
Normal Skill: Did You Think You Were Alone?
Koyuki’s Normal Skill activates every 30 seconds. It deals damage to one target and up to two additional nearby enemies, then reloads instantly. At Lv.10, it deals 385% of ATK.
This skill is one of the reasons Koyuki feels comfortable in wave-based content. Even when you are not using her EX Skill, she can still contribute automatic multi-target damage. It is especially useful when weaker enemies are standing close together.
Passive Skill: Do You Believe in Miracles?
Her Passive Skill increases her ATK. At Lv.10, it gives 26.6% ATK. When her Exclusive Weapon reaches 2-star, it upgrades to Do You Believe in Miracles?+, adding a flat ATK increase on top of the percentage ATK bonus.
Since all of Koyuki’s meaningful damage scales from ATK, this skill is important. It is not flashy, but it directly improves both her EX Skill and Basic Skill damage.
Sub Skill: Chaos Theory
Koyuki’s Sub Skill increases her ATK for 40 seconds after using her EX Skill. The exact ATK increase depends on which bomb type is used. At Lv.10, Bullet increases ATK by 29.1%, Electric Field by 27.5%, and Flame by 26%.
This skill makes repeated EX usage more valuable. After casting EX, Koyuki receives a temporary ATK buff, which improves her follow-up damage. Since the buff depends on the same random bomb system, the value changes slightly from cast to cast.

2
Enhanced Skill
Direct ATK increase
3

4
Basic Skill
Useful multi-target damage, better with Unique Item
For most players, upgrade EX Skill first. It is the main reason to bring Koyuki. After that, level her Enhanced Skill because ATK scaling improves her whole kit. Her Sub Skill is also valuable, especially if you use her often. Basic Skill is still useful, but it can be upgraded after her main ATK-based skills.
Best Equipment for Koyuki
Koyuki’s equipment slots are Gloves, Hairpin, and Watch. Blue Archive Utils lists her equipment progression through these three item lines, including Sports Gloves, Tennis Headband, and Waterproof Digital Watch at Tier 1.

Value for Koyuki
Gloves
Most important damage slot
Watch
Important for critical damage output
Hairpin
Improves survivability
For damage, prioritize Gloves first because Koyuki is an attacker who depends heavily on ATK. Watch is also important because it improves offensive performance through critical-related stats. Hairpin is useful, but it is more about helping her survive than increasing her damage.
If resources are limited, focus on keeping her Gloves and Watch upgraded before pushing Hairpin too high.
Exclusive Weapon: Mulli-Gun
Koyuki’s Exclusive Weapon is Mulli-Gun, an MG-type weapon. At Unique Weapon 2-star, her Enhanced Skill upgrades into Do You Believe in Miracles?+, giving her both flat ATK and percentage ATK. At Unique Weapon 3-star, her Urban terrain mood improves from S to SS.
Investment
Value
UE1
Basic stat increase
UE2
Enhanced Skill+ with extra ATK
UE3
Improves Urban terrain mood
UE2 is the most meaningful stopping point if you want to invest in Koyuki seriously. UE3 is more situational and mainly matters when you plan to use her in Urban content.
Unique Item: Competition Medal
Koyuki also has a Unique Item called Competition Medal. At T1, it gives ATK +500. At T2, it enhances her Basic Skill into Did You Think You Were Alone?+. The upgraded skill still hits one target and up to two nearby enemies every 30 seconds, but it also reduces Koyuki’s next EX Skill cost by 3 after this Basic Skill defeats 6 enemies.
This makes her much better in wave-clearing content. If her Basic Skill can finish off weaker enemies, her next EX can become much cheaper. However, this effect depends on the Basic Skill actually getting kills, so it is less reliable in boss fights or against high-HP enemies.

Best Team Comps for Koyuki
Koyuki does not require a very specific team to function. She mainly wants teammates who can keep enemies grouped, boost her damage, or help cycle EX skills.

Striker 3

Striker 4

Special 2
ATK buffer or cost support
This is the safest team structure for missions and event farming. Koyuki handles AoE damage, while the tank protects the team. A healer keeps the squad stable, and an ATK buffer helps Koyuki hit harder.

Healer or cost support
Koyuki has seen use as a Mystic AoE damage dealer in content such as Goz and general wave-clearing stages, but she is not always the best available Mystic option. Her EX randomness and AoE-focused design make her stronger when the stage rewards clearing multiple targets.

More damage
For newer players, Koyuki can simply be used as a Mystic wave clearer. She does not need a perfect raid team to be useful. Just pair her with a tank, a healer, and any damage support you already have.
Final Verdict
Koyuki is a solid Mystic AoE attacker for players who need more blue damage. Her 4-cost EX Skill has good area coverage, her Basic Skill helps clear smaller enemies, and her ATK-based kit makes her easy to build.
Her main weakness is consistency. The EX Skill uses a random bomb, and she is not usually the first choice if you already own stronger Mystic AoE specialists. Still, she remains useful in general content, event farming, and stages where grouped enemies need to be cleared quickly.
Build Koyuki if you need a Mystic AoE Striker or simply enjoy using her. Prioritize her EX Skill, Gloves, Watch, and eventually her Unique Item if you want her wave-clearing gameplay to feel smoother.
