Recap of the IGG World Championship 2025! The highlights of the tournaments in Lords Mobile, Viking Rise & Doomsday in South Korea.

What’s it about? From August 29 to 31, 2025, the IGG World Championship took place in Incheon, South Korea. This event was not only the biggest competition of the year in games from publisher IGG, but also a major celebration for the global community of IGG’s three most successful titles.

At the center were the fantasy epic Lords Mobile, the post-apocalyptic survival drama Doomsday: Last Survivors, and the Viking game Viking Rise.

Over three days, the battles weren’t just for glory, honor, and a prize pool worth over 400,000 USD — the community itself was also celebrated.

More than a tournament: The 2025 IGG World Championship

But the IGG World Championship wasn’t only about the competitions in the featured games. IGG organized a colorful show at the venue that brought each game’s world to life.

A different world every day

Each tournament day was dedicated to a different game, reflected in the stage design. From the majestic halls of Asgard for Viking Rise, to the colorful fortresses of Lords Mobile, and the dark bunkers of Doomsday: Last Survivors — there was plenty to see.

On the big stage, there was something new to see every day.

Interactive zones for fans

But even away from the main stage, visitors had plenty of opportunities to get involved themselves.

Alongside digital games, there were also plenty of analog activities at the event.

In special fan zones, visitors could play mini-games inspired by the featured IGG titles — including virtual archery and tricky puzzles. The rewards included exclusive merchandise and in-game prizes.

Cosplay stars and living characters

Another highlight was the appearance of some of South Korea’s most famous cosplayers. With incredible attention to detail and passion, they brought to life the iconic characters from the IGG games showcased at the event.

Numerous cosplayers added to the event’s atmosphere.

Watch out, zombie outbreak!

One of the coolest features was the “Zombie Outbreak” experience, inspired by Doomsday: Last Survivors. Even at check-in, visitors could run into eerily shambling undead, who kept delivering surprising and spooky moments throughout the entire event.

Wandering zombies roamed the event from start to finish.

The deceptively realistic “zombies” quickly became a popular photo opportunity and an unforgettable experience for all fans of the undead and post-apocalyptic drama.

And the grand 2025 IGG World Championship was certainly not the last event of its kind. So if you want to be part of it in the future, keep your eyes open!
