By doing so, you can buff their abilities significantly and defeat enemies easily. Therefore, it is important to know the best support characters in the game that can buff your damage dealers, stun enemies, and inflict Daze to deal additional damage.

8 Ben Bigger

The Best Defense Unit

One of the only available defense characters in Zenless Zone Zero is Ben Bigger, who is capable of dealing fire damage. On his own, Ben cannot do much damage to enemies. However, when paired with the right characters, he can prove to be one of the best supports in the game.

You can use him in teams with other fire agents or even create a Belobog Heavy Industries faction team with him as a support. Ben is capable of dealing higher fire damage while blocking incoming damage, thanks to his shield.

Characters like Soldier 11, Lucy, and Koleda can benefit most from Ben's support abilities.

7 Anby

The Amazing Stun Unit From Cunning Hares

Anby is a character from the Cunning Hares faction that can deal electric damage. She is definitely one of the best stun-type characters you can use in your party to lay out enemies and inflict Daze. You can use her amazing stun abilities when pairing her up with Nekomata and Lucy.

This composition can help you quickly move around the field, dealing with highly damaging attacks. You can also use her as a sub-DPS, especially against sturdy bosses and single targets, and make use of her Daze-focused skills to take down enemies.

6 Koleda

High Daze Inflicting Abilities

Despite being a fire-element character, you can use Koleda in almost any team, thanks to her powerful stun abilities. Her attacks might be comparatively slower than those of other characters, but they can inflict a heavy amount of Daze on enemies. This effect is further enhanced when she is paired with characters like Ben.

She can be used as both the main DPS and a sub-DPS for your team. Her Ex-Special Attack can increase the Daze she deals with. Pairing her up with other fire agents or characters from her faction can boost her damage and also apply a debuff that makes enemies take in more damage from chain attacks when stunned.

5 Lucy

Her Guard Boars Can Kill The Toughest Bosses

Lucy is a fire-type support agent who can summon her minions, the Guard Boars, to aid her allies. She can enhance the offensive capabilities of her teammates while dealing a good amount of damage herself. It is viable to increase her attack stat, which also boosts the effectiveness of her minions.

While using Lucy, it is important to activate her special so that her minions can keep on dealing damage even when Lucy is off the field. Her Cheer On! skill can greatly boost the ATK of her Guard Boars and teammates, making her a great support to use in any team.

4 Soukaku

Best Support For Mono Ice Teams

One of the best ice support characters in Zenless Zone Zero, Soukaku can greatly increase the overall damage output of her party, making her a viable mid to late-game support. If you are using Ellen as your main DPS, then there is no better support other than Soukaku for her.

The best rotation for Soukaku is to use her first to activate her core passive Fly The Flag, where she can boost the ATK of her party members and increase ice damage. In an ice mono team, her abilities shine the most, and with her signature W Engine, The Bashful Demon, you can boost her attack buffs even more.

3 Nicole

Can Cast Powerful Vortexes To Clear Mobs

Nicole is one of the most useful support characters who can work with almost any team composition in Zenless Zone Zero. Her basic attack works on lowering the defense of targeted enemies, which helps the attacks of your main DPS to get through and deal higher damage.

You can get Nicole for free through story progression, and her abilities are great for clearing hordes of enemies.

Pair her up with either agents or Cunning Hares faction members to increase the overall damage output and apply a debuff on the targeted enemy. Furthermore, her Ex-Special Attack is extremely powerful as it allows her to cast an energy field that draws enemies towards it while dealing Ether damage.

2 Lycaon

Strongest Ice Stun Unit

This powerful ice damage dealer is also one of the best stun characters in Zenless Zone Zero. He can act as both a good support and a main damage dealer for your party. Lycaon's abilities can deal a lot of Daze on your enemies, making him a must-have character in your rotation.

If you are using Ellen as your main DPS, then pairing her up with characters like Lycaon and Soukaku can form a strong party that can carry you to the end game effortlessly.

His passive core skill, Metallic Paws, can help him deal 40 percent increased Daze on target enemies. It is best to use him first in your rotation to stun the targeted enemies and bring in your main DPS later to deal greater damage. Use him in teams with characters like Ellen and Rina, which can also give you a faction buff. If you haven't pulled Ellen, then you can always use Corin and Soukaku with Lycaon.

1 Rina

Powerful Support To Increase Penetration And Damage

Rina is by far one of the most useful supports in the game and can deal serious electric damage. She can greatly buff the abilities of her fellow teammates and can use her puppets, Drusilla or Anastella, to attack enemies. Her passive core skill increases the penetration ratio of both Rina and her allies when her puppets attack enemies. The best way to use her is to activate her core skills and then switch her with your main DPS to make the best use of her abilities.

Thanks to her pen ratio, your attackers can deal more damage and quickly finish off enemies. Rina can deal damage at a safe distance, and since she floats, her dodge covers a long distance as compared to other characters, making it easier for her to avoid incoming attacks. Being a versatile character, you can use her with any characters in the game, but pairing her up with agents from a similar attribute or faction can boost the shock duration and electrical damage.
