YouTuber Sleeps For 38 Hours After No-Sleep World Record Attempt

Summary
- A YouTuber called Norme went viral this week for attempting to beat a no-sleep world record, staying up for over 265 hours.
- Following his attempt, Norme finally listened to his fans and set the "world's longest sleep stream," coming in at a whopping 38 hours and 42 minutes.
- Unfortunately, the story doesn't end there, as Norme's most recent Twitter post claimed he's now headed to the ER as his skin has started "peeling off." Let's hope it's nothing serious.
Over the past few days, a YouTuber called Norme was all over social media thanks to his attempts to break the world-record for days spent without sleeping. In an attempt to beat Randy Gardner's record of 264 hours and 24 minutes that was set back in 1964, Norme spent the past 12 days in a sleep-deprived state, documenting the entire process on whichever streaming service hadn't banned him at the time.
Upon beating Gardner's record, and getting swatted in the process, Norme celebrated the only way that he should - by getting some sleep. He immediately hit the sack following his triumph, streaming the entire thing on Twitch, before eventually being banned there too. Norme then shifted to Rumble, a platform that touts itself as "immune to cancel culture," to finish off the remainder of his sleep stream.
On August 13 at 11:29PM, Norme made an announcement via his Twitter account that his sleep stream was over, and lasted a whopping 38 hours and 42 minutes in total. He goes on to claim that this is the "world's longest sleep stream," though it's very difficult to actually verify a record like that. Still, at least Norme is getting some rest, though I can't imagine his sleep schedule will look even remotely normal for a good long while.
Norme Might Be Feeling The Side Effects Of His No-Sleep Stream
Now, I don't need to tell you that going without sleep for almost two weeks is a very silly thing to do, as the negative effects on your health would be disastrous. Norme was likely banned from every streaming platform out there, including Kick, because he was promoting self-harm, and now that the dust has settled, the streamer may be feeling some of the side effects as a result of his shenanigans.
Shortly after waking up from his 38-hour sleeping session, Norme posted pictures of his hands with various red marks on them and claimed that his "skin started peeling off." If true, then that's obviously quite concerning, and Norme's last update on the whole situation ended with him claiming he was headed to ER, though many are claiming this condition is likely eczema or rosacea due to dry skin and dehydration caused by sleep deprivation.
In any case, let's hope it's nothing serious, as even though staying awake for such a long time is an immensely stupid thing to do, Norme's physical health is no joke. In the tweet, he says he'll keep his fans updated, so all we can do now is wait and see if the poor guy is okay.
