Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Most Valuable Cards From The Crimson King Structure Deck

The Crimson King Structure Deck is officially out for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. It marks the 57th Deck in the TCG’s Structure Deck Series and is heavily centred around Synchro Summoning Red Dragon Archfiend. It's easy to play and introduces new support that allows you to bring out those powerful cards.

PostsIf you’re a collector, included are a total of 49 cards, with five Ultra Rares and three Super Rares to get your hands on. Due to every card being guaranteed, prices are kept low. However, that’s not to say that you’ll be at a financial loss, as some of the cards' value make up a huge chunk of the retail cost.
The following prices are taken from TCGPlayer.com and could be subject to change over time.
8 Red Dragon Archfiend (Ultra Rare) - $0.47
It’s no surprise to see Red Dragon Archfiend as one of the cheaper cards in the deck, as it has been printed eight times in total since its initial release in 2008. This is also the third time it has been released as an Ultra rare, so it’s unlikely to expect any dramatic increase in value for this card from a collectors point of view.
However, The Crimson King Structure Deck heavily revolves around Red Dragon Archfiend. The deck opens up the playability of Red Dragon Archfiend with new cards to support the archetype. As new strategies emerge, there is always room for a surge in demand from a playability perspective.
7 Bone Archfiend (Common) - $0.48
Bone Archfiend is a brand-new card specific to this deck. It acts as a level modifier while also having the ability to easily send cards to the graveyard from your field, hand or deck. From a collector's standpoint, there’s not much collectibility about this card as it’s a common that is guaranteed on purchase with every deck.

PostsFrom the playability side of things, this card can be incredibly useful. The fact it is not a tuner allows for some balance in your deck and its effects can open up potential for getting your powerful cards into play. Certain builds could do well in utilising three copies of this card. Given how inexpensive it is, there’s little financial regret in picking up a playset for yourself.
6 Everyone’s King (Ultra Rare) - $0.61
Everyone’s King acts as a collectors card, given as a throw-in card for purchasing the Structure Deck. While boasting an impressive 3,000 Attack and 2,500 Defense, it cannot be used in a duel, rendering it useless for play.
If you’re a collector, however, this marks the first time a card has been released with the type ‘Human’. It showcases Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist, Jack Atlas, proudly as the main focal point of the image on an Ultra Rare card. Should releasing more Human cards become a recurring theme in the TCG, they are likely to become collectible, and who wouldn’t want the very first one released in their collection?
5 Pot Of Extravagance (Common) - $0.66
Pot of Extravagance has been printed a total of seven times in the first four years of its existence, under several different rarities. It’s hard to imagine that the price of this common version will increase over time, but it does allow for a cheap playset of the card should you need one.

PostsPot of Extravagance can be very powerful when combined with the right cards. However, you will not only need an abundance of extra-deck cards in order to make this card worthwhile, but you will also need a strategy that allows you to bring back those that have been banished.
4 Scarred Dragon Archfiend (Super Rare) - $0.91
Scarred Dragon Archfiend is a member of the Red Dragon Archfiend archetype. Its main uses are to summon other cards from the archetype as well as wiping out your opponent's attack position monsters. Ideally, you will want three of these in your deck to maximise its potential.
Coming in Super Rare, this feels like a missed opportunity, an equally powerful and good-looking card such as this would have been nice to see get the Ultra Rare treatment. However, given its usability, and the fact that having a playset of this card is vital to making strong deck builds, this is a card that has the potential to rise in value.
3 Red Rising Dragon (Ultra Rare) - $0.97
The release of this deck marks the second time Red Rising Dragon has been printed. Luckily, this time it has been printed in the Ultra rarity, completely overshadowing its previous common rarity. A must-have for anyone that appreciates beautiful looking cards, and considering the low cost, a nice little pick-up for any collection.

PostsIts main use is to recycle Resonator cards from your graveyard in order for you to search for cards you may need. Alternatively, you can also use the Resonator cards to summon your Red Dragon Archfiend to then supply your field with powerful cards and pull off one turn combos.
2 Vision Resonator (Ultra Rare) - $1.25
With the dual effects, Vision Resonator stands out as an exceptional addition to the Red Dragon Archfiend archetype. It has the ability to be Special Summoned straight from the hand, and to search for Spells and Traps straight from the deck, making it a very powerful card.
Vision Resonator is a must-have for any Red Dragon Archfiend deck going forward, and will most likely remain a sought after card due to its playability. It’s certainly worth picking up a playset of this card, as its effects are enough to turn the tide of any duel and the Ultra rarity is a neat little bonus as well.
1 Soul Resonator (Ultra Rare) - $2.39
Soul Resonator is a beautiful Ultra Rare card and has two effects to offer. The first effect allows you to search for other Resonator cards, or Level Four or lower Fiend type monsters. The second offers protection to your monsters by banishing itself. Both of these effects give you a huge advantage with very next to no cost.
While its counterpart, Vision Resonator is an exceptional card in its own right, Soul Resonator is far superior. It allows for more strategic levels of play, and can easily win you the duel. For that reason, it’s no surprise that out of all the cards in The Crimson King Structure Deck it stands as the most expensive.
