There aren't many classes in World of Warcraft that are as self-sufficient as Fury Warrior. While spellcasters are often squishy and tank specializations dish out less damage, Fury isn't trapped in the same pitfalls, being able to tank huge hits and self-heal while topping the damage charts.

This jack-of-all-trades specialization has only seen improvements since the introduction of Dragonflight. Their roster of healing abilities increased exponentially with the reworked talent system, leaving them in a fantastic spot for PvP. If you want to be able to steamroll your enemies on the battlefield, here's everything you need to know about Fury.

Class Overview

Fury Warrior is WoW's version of a classic barbarian. Wielding two weapons and clad in plate armor, they often charge into the battle and use Rage to sustain their vicious attacks instead of mana.

Their method of healing is unique as well, unlike other classes that have to suspend their DPS to heal themselves.

Fury Warriors often restore vast amounts of their maximum healththrough their attacks themselves. Because of this, Fury rewards a more aggressive playstyle, and more than a few races can take advantage of this for further damage gains.

Race

Although every race in the game can call themselves a Warrior, some racials mesh better with Fury's up close and personal attacks. If you want to PvP at the highest level, consider pairing these races with your Warrior.

Race

Racial Abilities

Human

Better primary attributes and can end stunning effects early.

Dwarf

Enhanced Critical Strike and can take less damage.

Kul Tiran

Ability to stun and knock back opponents and can heal damage taken.

Orc

Temporarily increased damage and resistant to stuns.

Tauren

More health, enhanced Critical Strike, and can stun nearby enemies.

Highmountain Tauren

More health, reduces damage taken, and can charge to knock down enemies.

Stat Priority

As a melee class, you'll want to take Strength as your primary attribute.

This is the source of most of the damage from your sword-swinging abilities, so be sure to check for Strength on any plate armor or two-handed weapon you find.

Once your primary attribute has been sorted, prioritize Mastery above any other secondary stat. Because of your Unshackled Fury passive, your Mastery will increase the amount of damage done while Enraged, a state in which you'll spend 90 percent of your time as Fury.

Along with Mastery, attempt to pick up Critical Strike whenever you can. This will exponentially increase your damage, making you more capable on the battlefield.

Gearing Up For PvP

Once you progress your Fury Warrior to max level, you'll want to do some basic gearing to increase your Item Levelbefore you jump into PvP to give you the best odds of winning.

Begin by checking for any relevant World Quests around the Dragon Isles. These take just a couple of moments to complete, and they scale with your current Item Level, ensuring that you'll always pick up an upgrade.

When you run out of World Quests, turn to dungeons or gear from crafting professions, which can provide anywhere from Item Level 340 to 380 equipment, giving you even more of an edge on your competition.

Once you're decently geared at around Item Level 340 or higher, you can begin to delve into PvP. As you participate in battlegrounds or arenas, you'll accumulate Honor and Conquest. These currencies can be used to gather your ultimate set of equipment.

Once you're well stocked on both currencies, head to The Gladiator's Refuge in Valdrakken. Inside, you'll find Seltherex and Calderax, the vendors that can sell you PvP-specific equipment. Wearing these pieces of gear can raise your Item Level in battlegrounds and arenas to410 and higher.

Begin by purchasing a set of Honor gear from Seltherex, and gradually replace this set with Conquest gear from Calderax as your Item Level raises. Make sure to acquire pieces that grant more Mastery or Critical Strike.

Gems And Enchants

As you settle into your PvP gear, you can further enhance your Strength, Mastery, and Critical Strike by buffing your pieces with gems and enchants.

Gems

Skillful Illimited Diamond

Sensei's Neltharite

Sensei's Alexstraszite

Enchants

Enchant Weapon - Earthen Devotion

Enchant Chest - Sustained Strength

Enchant Ring - Devotion of Mastery

Enchant Ring - Devotion of Critical Strike

Fury Warrior PvP Talents

To perform to your fullest potential in PvP, you'll want to be careful with your talent choices by balancing damage, healing capability, and stuns in both trees.

For your Fury tree, take a handful of healing abilities like Enraged Regeneration.

Instead of focusing on enhancing your Bloodthirst, take talents that directly buff the damage of your Raging Blow and Rampage.

In your general Warrior tree, plenty of talents perform extraordinarily well in PvP, like Shattering Throw, Storm Bolt, and Spear of Bastion. In addition, be sure to trace down the left side of the tree to pick up Avatar for a huge damage buff.

  • Take Enduring Rage as your first PvP-specific talent, which allows your Raging Blow to extend your Enrage state to deal even more damage.
  • Battle Trance should be next, as this will heal back three percent of your maximum health every time you perform Raging Blow twice in a row.
  • Slaughterhouse is a fantastic third pick to round out your PvP-specific talents, as it reduces the effectiveness of the enemy's healers with every Rampage.

Fury Warrior PvP Rotation

Your rotation as a Fury Warrior will consist of constantly raising your Rage to spend it with Rampage and extend the state of your Enrage. Your focus should be to stay Enraged for as long as possible.

  • Start by using Charge at an enemy to close the distance between you and your target, as you'll need to stay in melee range.

If your target ever tries to get away from you, use Heroic Leap or your other use of Charge granted by the Double Time talent to stay close.

  • Begin your proper rotation by opening withOnslaught, immediately sending you into your Enraged state and granting stacks of Slaughtering Strikes.
  • Follow by using Raging Blow at least twice. This will proc both Slaughterhouse and Slaughtering Strikes to increase the damage of your Rampage.
  • Once you're at five stacks of Slaughtering Strikes, extend the duration of your Enrage by using Rampage. This is your hardest-hitting attack; you should strive to use it whenever you have enough Rage.
  • Continue to build Rage by using Raging Blowuntil Onslaught is off cooldown. If you run out of charges of Raging Blow, swap to Bloodthirst. Then, repeat the rotation.
  • Once your target drops below 35 percent health, finish them off using Execute. This can also be used whenever you get a free proc of it from your other abilities.

If you've found yourself in a massive teamfight, using both Avatar and Recklessness into Ravager provides overpowering DPS.

Utility Tips

Besides your core rotation, you have several incredibly useful utility tools as a Fury Warrior, many of which deal with closing the distance to your target or providing relief by restoring chunks of your maximum health.

  • Impending Victory is a huge self-heal that restores up to 30 percent of your maximum health. It should be noted that its cooldown automatically resets uponevery honorable kill.
  • Enraged Regeneration can be activated for an instant 20 percent maximum health heal. It will also buff Bloodthirst for massive health returns for a few seconds after this.
  • Spear of Bastion will be your main tool for keeping the enemy in melee range. If it connects to a target, it will root them in a small area for a short time while buffing your Critical Strike chance.
  • Shockwave and Storm Bolt both serve to stun the enemy for several seconds, providing a window for fantastic burst damage.
  • Shattering Throw can be used against foes that cower behind absorb shields, often wiping out their defenses. In addition, it also removes magical immunities, such as a Paladin's Divine Shield.
