World Of Warcraft: Dragonflight - 10 Best Armor Designs

With the release of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, you're liable to be traipsing about the Dragon Isles, riding the new drake mounts, challenging the brand-new raids, and... maybe even fishing? Even so, you might have forgotten the most important part of World of Warcraft: looking good while you're doing it.

The newest armors dropped in the Dragonflight update are not only great pieces to wear for combat but also unsurprisingly well-designed and aesthetically pleasing. If you've got a knack for fashion, then you're definitely going to want to get your hands on these unique, glowing pieces of armor to keep your character looking fresh as you raid in Azeroth.
10 Death Knight: Haunted Frostbrood Remains
The Death Knight's newest armor set, the Haunted Frostbrood Remains, is the perfect balance of intimidating and stylish. This armor's bright and flashy detailing sets it apart from the dark doom and gloom you'll see across the rest of Death Knight's catalog.
Even so, details like the horns on the Maw of the Haunted Frostbrood and the jagged edges of the Jaws of the Haunted Frostbrood make sure that the Death Knight never loses its intimidation factor. The style of this armor suits the role of the Death Knight as well: the spiky detailing on this armor feels flashy and dangerous, keeping the enemy's attention and doling out damage in handfuls in any battleground you join.
9 Druid: Lost Landcaller's Vesture
The Druid's Lost Landcaller's Vesture is one of the best armor sets at representing the class that it's supposed to fit into without compromising the style or theme that it's going for. The Lost Landcaller's Claws give a perfect animalistic touch to the Druid that makes it feel dangerous and wild, which can be very true of the Druid's various shape-shifting forms.
The design still has aspects that point to the wearer's sentience, though, that tie everything together and make it clear that you are channeling beasts rather than having the mind of them. It's also a funny set to wear when playing a Restoration Druid since no one would expect such a ferocious appearance to be one of the best healers in the game.
8 Warlock: Scalesworn Cultist's Habit
The Scalesworn Cultist's Habit is a great outfit for warlocks since all the details accentuate their dealings with the darker magics without making them look like a melee class. The horns and skull mask are great ways of telling everyone about the Dragon Isles that, yes, you do run with dark magic, and no, they won't survive an encounter with you.

While the Scalesworn Cultist's Habit is a bit on the heavier side visually due to the large gauntlets and pauldrons the size of bowling balls, aspects like the thin Scalesworn Cultist's Frock and Sandles balance the set, plus the more ethereal aspects of the garb give it a feeling of weightlessness and magic, so that helps.
7 Evoker: Scales Of The Awakened
The brand-new Evoker class flies onto the scene with its first armor set, which is a fantastic way for new players to be introduced to it. The Scales of the Awakened gives the Evoker a fittingly draconic (and iconic) visage that will remind foes of just who they're messing with. While certainly glowing like other members of the Dragonflight armor sets, the ways in which the glow is designed and placed gives more of a feeling of fire or magma than of magic or ether.
The design of the armor set accentuates the relationship to dragons, bringing associations that match the actual role of the Evoker in battle. Dragons are both deadly and magical, which fits the Evoker's dual role as a healer and ranged damage dealer.
6 Hunter: Stormwing Harrier's Camouflage
The Hunter's Stormwing Harrier's Camouflage armor is one of the cooler sets in Dragonflight, using the likeness of a dragon not to imply magic or danger but instead the feeling that each target you take is a new prey. The design also uses shapes effectively to make materials that would normally scream "weight" look relatively light and fitting for the role a hunter would play in a fight.
The resemblance to a dragon also brings forth the parallels between the dragon's fire and the Hunter's ranged weaponry. The flames coming out of the Hunter further push this comparison, giving the feeling that if you come close, you will get burned.
5 Mage: Bindings Of The Crystal Scholar
The Mage's Bindings Of The Crystal Scholar armor is the coolest to come out of Dragonflight. Not only does the design of the armor suit the class, but it also refuses to give up any of the style the other Dragonflight armor sets stick to. The pauldrons, the Crystal Scholar's Beacons, make this set memorable all on its own, but every other piece of the armor has its own flair that adds to the aesthetic.
The armor set also does a great job of highlighting the fragility of the Mage, which also comes out in its name: Bindings of the Crystal Scholar. Crystals are delicate but are also filled with arcane magics, much like the Mage.
4 Priest: Draconic Hierophant's Finery
The Priest was given one of the most intimidating armor sets in the Dragonflight update, giving them blazing torches for pauldrons, an absolutely menacing mask as a headpiece, and a variety of wrappings that really tie the piece together. Even with the menacing appearance, the Priest does not lose any of their regal air or holiness and instead gains the look of a holy avenger.
The ability of the set to give both the image of vengeance and holiness parallels the Priest's roles as both a healer and a damage dealer. It does not, however, betray the long-range nature of the Priest's roles, making sure you know that they are not supposed to be on the front lines.
3 Demon Hunter: Skybound Avenger's Flightwear
The Demon Hunter's armor is as suave as they are themselves; you wouldn't be wrong to imagine yourself wearing this armor, leaning against the wall as everyone else flails and dies because you're the tank in this party. From the slicked-back pauldrons to the simple helmet, the Skybound Avenger's Flightwear oozes understated style.

The design fits the characterization of a Demon Hunter as well since generally non-Demon Hunters fear them whether they're on their side or not. Someone who can be so effortlessly stylish is not someone you want to mess around with.
2 Rogue: Vault Delver's Toolkit
Is it a little flashy for a Rogue? Maybe. Would anyone wearing this be seen immediately and killed by the nature of the glow alone? Certainly, but you can't deny that this armor set feels sufficiently stylish enough for a bank heist. The Vault Delver's Toolkit gives you charm enough to fuel your whole party, and since enemies don't seem to be that observant, why not do what you do best in your finest duds?
The armor set suits the Rogue's desire to dress light, at least; everything on this armor set looks like it would be easy to move quickly in, especially the wrappings on the leg piece. If you want to get the enemy's weak points in style, you have to get this armor.
1 Monk: Wrappings Of The Waking Fist
The Monk's armor set, Wrappings of the Waking Fist, is honestly too cool for its own good. For a class that tends to prefer more traditional garb, this outfit manages to stretch way outside the Monk's comfort zone. This armor set still has rather ornate and traditional pauldrons and body wrappings that indicate martial ability, but these are brought into conversation with the armor's scrappy qualities.
The best part of this armor is the gauntlets, the Palms of the Waking Fist, which have one of the most unique visual designs in World of Warcraft. The glow effect around just the edge of the hands gives such power to the martial ability of the Monk, telling any enemy you encounter in the Dragonflight dungeons that they best not let you land a blow.
