World Of Warcraft: Dragonflight - Children's Week Guide

World of Warcraft has many holidays that occur throughout each year. Some mirror real-world holidays and some don't. Children's Week is one of the latter, taking place during the week bordering April and May. During this holiday, adventurers take several orphans around the different locales of Azeroth and Outland in exchange for smiling faces and battle pets.

PostsThe cities that host these activities are Orgrimmar, Stormwind City, Shattrath City, Dalaran, Dazar'alor, and Boralus. Don't forget to bring some pocket money on your excursions with these orphans, as they will ask you for some treats along the way.
For all orphan quests, your orphan needs to be summoned with the whistle provided at the beginning of their quest chains. If your orphan isn't present, their quests cannot be completed.
The Orgrimmar Orphan Quests
In the orcish capital city of Orgrimmar, Orphan Matron Battlewail begins the Orgrimmar version of the "Children's Week" quest from her spot in front of the city's orphanage, located in The Drag. Upon acceptance of this quest, she will give you an Orcish Orphan Whistle item to use in order to summon your ward for the week: the orc child Grunth.
First Set Of Quests
Upon being summoned, Grunth will introduce himself and offer the quests "Ridin' the Rocketway," "Strong new Allies," and "The Fallen Chieftain."
The quest "Ridin' the Rocketway" will send you to the Southern Rocketway Terminus on the southern cliffs of Azshara, as Grunth wants to ride the zone's Rocketway with you. On top of the tower in the middle of the goblin town, a rocket, the Redhound Two-Seater, is waiting for you to click on it to complete the quest.
To complete the "Strong New Allies" quest, you must visit the Orgrimmar Embassy with Grunth, as he wishes to see the newest allies of the Horde found there.
For the "The Fallen Chieftain" quest, you will need to travel to the tauren's domain of Mulgore. Here, Grunth wishes to pay his respects to the departed tauren high chieftain, Cairne Bloodhoof. To do so, bring him to the sacred burial site of the tauren tribes, Red Rocks.
Second Set Of Quests
When you have completed all three prior quests, Grunth will offer two more to do. These are the Horde versions of "You Scream, I Scream..." and "Let's Go Fly a Kite."
"You Scream, I Scream..." is a quest that sends you back to the Orgrimmar Embassy, where a temporary ice cream shop has opened: The Cone of Cold. Here, the goblin mage Snixx Quickfreeze sells a variety of treats. Buy the Cone of Cold item from him, and use it to give your orphaned ward the cold treat he asked for.
For the "Let's Go Fly a Kite" quest, Grunth wants, quite obviously, to fly a kite with you. Bring him to The Drag in Orgrimmar, where the goblin toymaker Blax Bottlerocket plies his wares. Once you find him on his route, buy a Dragon Kite 2-Pack from him and use that item to fly these kites with Grunth.
Final Quest
Finally, once those quests are completed, Grunth will offer you one last quest, "A Warden of the Horde." This quest requires you to buy a Foam Sword Rack item from Blax Bottlerocket for Grunth to share with his friends back at the Orgrimmar Orphanage.
When you return, Orphan Matron Battlewail will take Grunth back into her care and award you witha selection of battle pets. These are a turtle named Speedy, Whiskers the Rat, Scooter the Snail, and Mr. Wiggles the pig.
All Children's Week final quests reward a Pet Care Package containing assorted battle pet goods and a Curmudgeon's Payroll, containing five gold as choices, in addition to the battle pets they award.
The Stormwind City Orphan Quests
In the Cathedral Square of Stormwind City,Orphan Matron Nightingale will offer the Stormwind City version of the "Children's Week" quest from her spot in front of the city's orphanage. She will give you the Human Orphan Whistle item when you accept the quest, which will let you summon the human child Randis upon use.
First Set Of Quests
When he is summoned, Randis will offer you three quests to fulfill with him. These are "Cruisin' the Chasm," "The Biggest Diamond Ever!," and "Our New Friends."
To fulfill Randis' "Cruisin' the Chasm" quest, travel to the human town of Sentinel Hill in Westfall, where a gnome by the name of Twilber Torquewrench is offering free rides on his choppers for orphans and their chaperones. Found just south of the row of steamtanks on the east side of town, click on one of his Rental Choppers to take a trip to The Raging Chasm with Randis.
The "The Biggest Diamond Ever!" quest sends you and Randis to Old Ironforge, beneath the dwarven capital city of Ironforge. Here, Randis hopes to see the former king of Ironforge, Magni Bronzebeard.
This is where he was once petrified as diamond at the time of the Cataclysm, but now the spot where he once stood has been vacant since his awakening during the Burning Legion's third invasion of Azeroth.
The "Our New Friends" quest requires you to bring Randis to the Stormwind City Embassy, where he wants to see all the new allies of the Alliance.
Second Set Of Quests
Upon finishing those three quests, Randis will offer two more that bring you and him back to Stormwind City. These are the Alliance versions of "You Scream, I Scream..." and "Let's Go Fly a Kite".
To complete the "You Scream, I Scream..." quest, take Randis to the Mage Quarter of Stormwind City, where a group of mages have set up a temporary ice cream shop, The Cone of Cold. Located next to the inn, The Blue Recluse, either the gnome mage Bazzil Frostweaver or the human mage Hans Coldhearth can sell you what you need.
Buy a Cone of Cold item from either one of them and use it to give your ward a tasty snack.
The "Let's Go Fly a Kite" quest requires you to seek out the gnome toymaker, Craggle Wobbletop. He walks along the Canals outside the Trade District, and when you find him, buy a Dragon Kite 2-Pack to use with Randis.
Final Quest
When those two quests are completed, Randis makes one last request of you. His quest, "A Warden of the Alliance," will require you to buy a Foam Sword Rack item from Craggle Wobbletop, as he wants to share the toy with his friends back at the Stormwind City Orphanage.
After you do so, bring him back to Orphan Matron Nightingale, and she will award you with your choice of battle pet. Your choices are the pig named Mr. Wiggles, Scooter the Snail, Whiskers the Rat, and the turtle named Speedy.

When she is summoned, Salandria will start the quests "Visit the Throne of the Elements," "Hch'uu and the Mushroom People," and the Horde version of "A Trip to the Dark Portal."
The "Visit the Throne of the Elements" quest sends you to take Salandria to visit the eponymous sacred spot of Outland's shamans and elementals, the Throne of the Elements. This holy site can be found in Nagrand, north of Garadar.
To complete the "Hch'uu and the Mushroom People" quest, travel to the sporeling town of Sporeggar in Zangarmarsh. Here, Salandria wishes to see and catch up with her friend, the sporeling Hch'uu.
"A Trip to the Dark Portal" takes you and your ward to the famous link between Outland and Azeroth. This is specifically the Outland side of the Dark Portal, in the far east of Hellfire Peninsula.
Second Set Of Quests
After these three quests from Salandria are finished, she will offer two more for you to do for her. These are "Now, When I Grow Up..." and the Horde version of "Time to Visit the Caverns."
To complete the "Now, When I Grow Up..." quest, take Salandria to the Walk of Elders in the blood elven capital of Silvermoon City within Eversong Woods. Atop a balcony near the entrance to the city, the rock band Elite Tauren Chieftain stands and waves at their fans. This is what Salandria wants to see.
"Time to Visit the Caverns" is a quest that will lead you into the depths of the Caverns of Time beneath the desert of Tanaris. At this conflux of the Timeways, overseen by the bronze dragonflight, Salandria wants to meet a dragon and grab a souvenir.
First, head to the middle of the bottom layer of the caverns, where the transparent image of the bronze dragon Zaladormu lies atop a dais. He will have some words for Salandria and, after their interaction, take her to the orcish tower across from Zaladormu. Here, the Keepers of Time quartermaster Alurmi sells a Toy Dragon item for you to purchase for Salandria.
Final Quest
After her final two tasks are done, Salandria will tell you that it's time to bring her back to the Shattrath City Orphanage through the Horde version of the quest "Back to the Orphanage." When you turn this in to Orphan Matron Mercy, you will be offered your choice of battle pets.
These are the hawkstrider chick Egbert, the marsh walker Legs, the beholder Willy, and the elekk calf Peanut.
The Shattrath City Alliance Orphan Quests
In the orphanage of the Lower City of Shattrath City, Orphan Matron Mercy will also offer the Shattrath City Alliance version of the "Children's Week" quest. This quest will give you the Draenei Orphan Whistle item, summoning the draenei child Dornaa.
This questline is only available to Alliance characters.
First Set Of Quests
Dornaa will have three quests for you to initially complete. These are "Auchindoun and the Ring of Observance," "Jheel is at Aeris Landing!" and the Alliance version of "A Trip to the Dark Portal."
"Auchindoun and the Ring of Observance" will make you take Dornaa to the center of the ruined draenei necropolis within the Bone Wastes of Terokkar Forest. Bring her to the Auchindoun dungeon meeting stone in the middle of the pocked earth.
To complete the "Jheel is at Aeris Landing!" quest, you must visit Aeris Landing, a camp of the ethereals of the Consortium, in southwestern Nagrand. Dornaa wants to visit her brother Jheel, an apprentice jewelcrafter here.
The "A Trip to the Dark Portal" quest is finished by bringing Dornaa to the Outland side of the Dark Portal in Hellfire Peninsula.
Second Set Of Quests
Dornaa will offer two new quests when these three are completed, with the two new ones being the Alliance version of "Time to Visit the Caverns" and "The Seat of the Naaru."
Dornaa asks you to take her to the Caverns of Time within the sands of Tanaris for the "Time to Visit the Caverns" quest. Here, you must bring her to the bottom of the caverns, where a temporally-phasing image of the bronze dragon Zaladormu awaits.
After interacting with him, bring Dornaa across from his gaze, where Alurmi, the Keepers of Time quartermaster, will sell you a Toy Dragon item to give to your ward.
For "The Seat of the Naaru" quest, Dornaa will request to visit the draenei capital city of The Exodar on Azuremyst Isle. When you arrive, head to the central chamber, the Seat of the Naaru, and descend the ramp to its lower level. This is where you will find the naaru O'ros. After blessing Dornaa, he will send you on another quest, "Call on the Farseer."
For "Call on the Farseer," take Dornaa to a different chamber of The Exodar, called the Crystal Hall. The draenei and Broken shamans call this wing of the city home, and their leader, the Farseer Nobundo (the first Draenic shaman), resides atop a terrace overlooking the Crystal Hall. He wishes to meet Dornaa, as sensed by O'ros.
Final Quest
Finally, your draenei ward will inform you that it is time to return home with the Alliance version of the quest "Back to the Orphanage." Back in Shattrath City, Orphan Matron Mercy will welcome you and Dornaa and offer you a selection of battle pets, these being the hawkstrider chick Egbert, the marsh walker Legs, the beholder Willy, and the elekk calf Peanut.
The Dalaran Orphan Quests
In the magic city of the Kirin Tor, Dalaran (the Northrend version), Orphan Matron Ariain The Eventide plaza offers the two Children's Week quests: "Little Orphan Roo of the Oracles" and "Little Orphan Kekek of the Wolvar."
Upon accepting "Little Orphan Roo of the Oracles," she will give you the Oracle Orphan Whistle item, allowing you to summon the gorloc child Roo when you use it. If you accept "Little Orphan Kekek of the Wolvar" instead, she will give you the Wolvar Orphan Whistle item, allowing you to summon the wolvar child Kekek when you use it.
Only one of these quests can be taken by a single character per year, but their rewards are the same. Additionally, if you have a hostile reputation with The Oracles faction, you cannot do Roo's questline, and if you are hostile with the Frenzyheart Tribe, you cannot do Kekek's questline.
First Set Of Gorloc Orphan Quests
Upon using the Oracle Orphan Whistle, the gorloc child Roo will run to your side. He will make three requests of you, the "The Biggest Tree Ever!" quest, as well as the gorloc versions of the "Playmates!" and "The Bronze Dragonshrine" quests.
"The Biggest Tree Ever!" requires you to bring Roo to the furbolg city of Grizzlemaw within the hollow trunk of the fallen world tree Vordrassil in the Grizzly Hills.
Roo asks you to bring him to a murloc village in the Borean Tundra for the "Playmates!" quest. This village is called Winterfin Retreat, located on the eastern shore of the strait separating the mainland Borean Tundra from the island of Coldarra. Roo will befriend and dance with a murloc child here.
The gorloc version of "The Bronze Dragonshrine" sends you to that eponymous location in the northeastern reaches of Dragonblight. Here, Roo will meet a future version of himself on the Bronze Dragonshrine's sacred sands.
Second Set Of Gorloc Orphan Quests
After completing the initial three quests, Roo will offer two more; "Meeting a Great One" and the gorloc version of "The Dragon Queen."
For the "Meeting a Great One" quest, Roo asks you to take him to meet one of his gods, a Titan or a Great One, as his people call them. To do so, bring him to the Waygate in southern Sholazar Basin, a titanforged portal connecting the basin to the similarly-purposed Un'Goro Crater in Kalimdor.
Bring Roo through the Waygate, and upon arrival, you will find the sleeping titanforged watcher, The Etymidian. Although he isn't actually a Titan, Roo will be satisfied with meeting him.
High atop Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight, the objective of "The Dragon Queen" quest can be found. Said objective is the Aspect of Life, leader of the red dragonflight and queen of all dragons, Alexstrasza. Bring Roo to her, as he really wants to meet her.
Final Gorloc Orphan Quests
After the previous two quests are completed, Roo will ask to visit one more location, a toy shop in Dalaran called The Wonderworks. This is asked through the aptly named quest "A Trip To The Wonderworks." For this quest, take him there and buy a Small Paper Zeppelin item from the shop's proprietor, the gnome Jepetto Joybuzz. Use the Small Paper Zeppelin to play with Roo.
After the toy shop trip, Roo will give you the gorloc version of "Back To The Orphanage." When you return him to Orphan Matron Aria, you will be rewarded with the Curious Oracle Hatchling battle pet.
First Set Of Wolvar Orphan Quests
When you use the Wolvar Orphan Whistle, the wolvar child Kekek will appear and offer you three quests. These are the "Home Of The Bear-Men" quest and the wolvar versions of the "Playmates!" and "The Bronze Dragonshrine" quests.
The "Home Of The Bear-Men" quest requires you to bring Kekek to the fallen world tree Vordrassil, where the furbolg city of Grizzlemaw sits within its trunk. Located in the Grizzly Hills, Kekek wants to see the furbolg fight while there, while Roo only wants to see the big tree.
For "Playmates!", Kekek requested you bring him to the home of another wolvar tribe, the Snowfall Tribe. At the Snowfall Tribe's village, Snowfall Glade, in southern Dragonblight, Kekek will befriend another wolvar pup by having a snowball fight with them.
The wolvar version of "The Bronze Dragonshrine" takes you and Kekek to the sacred site of the same name, located in northeastern Dragonblight. Here, at the Bronze Dragonshrine, Kekek will meet a future version of himself, just like Roo.
Second Set Of Wolvar Orphan Quests
After completing these three quests, Kekek will offer two more: "The Mighty Hemet Nesingwary" and the wolvar version of "The Dragon Queen".
In the heart of Sholazar Basin, the famous dwarf hunter, Hemet Nesingwary, awaits a visit from you and Kekek for the quest "The Mighty Hemet Nesingwary." Located in Nesingwary Base Camp, bring Kekek to him to satisfy the wolvar child's yearning for the hunt.
Kekek also wants to meet Alexstrasza the Life-Binder for the "The Dragon Queen" quest. The legendary Dragonqueen stands next to her mate Korialstrasz atop Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight.
Final Wolvar Orphan Quests
Once your journey to Sholazar Basin and Wyrmrest Temple with Kekek is complete, head back to Dalaran with him. He wants to go to The Wonderworks, a toy shop, for the "A Trip To The Wonderworks" quest. Once there, buy a Small Paper Zeppelin item from the gnome toymaker Jepetto Joybuzz and use it to play with Kekek.
After the toy shop visit, Kekek will give you the wolvar version of "Back To The Orphanage". When you bring Kekek back to Orphan Matron Aria, she will award you with the Curious Wolvar Pup battle pet.

You will need to venture deep into the swamps of Nazmir to do the "The Frogmarsh" quest. Azala wishes to meet the frog loa, Krag'wa the Huge, within his lair in the Frogmarsh.

For the "Hunting for Gold" quest, bring Azala to the Golden Isle, just offshore from the Port of Zem'lan in Vol'dun. She will initially be overjoyed at the sheer amount of treasure but tells you to flee with her once she realizes that the treasure is cursed.
Final Quest
After your adventures in Vol'dun with her, Azala will task you with bringing her back to the Hall of Castes in Dazar'alor through the quest "Return to the Hall of Castes." Once you arrive, she will offer you a choice from her collection of battle pets in exchange for completing this quest.
These battle pets are the frog Froglet, the hermit crab Mr. Crabs, the saurolisk Scaley, and the turtle Beakbert.
The Boralus Orphan Quests
The Kul Tiran humans also have their own orphanage within their capital city of Boralus in Tiragarde Sound. Here, in the district of Hook Point, Orphan Matron Westerson takes care of the wayward youth of the city.
This orphanage is located on the northeast tip of Hook Point, right before the bridge leading past the Proudmoore Barracks to the town of Hatherford. Orphan Matron Westerson will give you the Kul Tiran Orphan Whistle item when you accept the Boralus version of the "Children's Week" quest.
First Set Of Quests

The "Yo Ho, Yo Ho!" quest requires you to bring Liam to the raucous pirate city of Freehold on the southern shores of Tiragarde Sound. As that isn't the safest place for a child, you only need to bring him to the western cliffs on the outskirts of the city, overlooking Freehold proper. He will get to meet a real pirate, however, as an Irontide pirate is recruiting here.

Here, visit the statue of Arom Waycrest, the town's founder and the first Kul Tiran lord of Drustvar. Here, Inquisitor Notley will teach Liam about falconry.
Liam's quest "Shapeshifters!" tasks you with taking your ward to the nearby headquarters of the Kul Tirans' druid order, The Thornspeakers. This location is the lair of their leader, the last drust, the High Thornspeaker Ulfar. Fittingly, it is named Ulfar's Den. It is found on the slopes of the southern mountain of Drustvar, off the road that connects Arom's Stand to Tiragarde Sound.
Final Quest
Finally, Liam asks you to finish your journey with him by returning him to Orphan Matron Westerson, with the Boralus version of the quest "Return to the Orphanage."
