For characters who canonically cannot see, they sure have a great fashion sense. Demon Hunter transmog sets are as dramatic and dynamic as the class themselves, and there are some real classics in their repertoire. While the hunt never ends, it can be paused for a bit of a fashion show. Grab some demon souls as a snack, sit back, relax, and get prepared for the best Demon Hunter transmog sets.

9 Battlegear Of The Shattered Abyss

Set Name

Battlegear of the Shattered Abyss

Required Level

10+

Location

Demon Hunter Class Hall Campaign

The Demon Hunter Class Campaign is one of the best in Legion. It is dripping with dark atmosphere and brooding energy- just the way the Demon Hunters like it. Those who work on maxing out the campaign get rewarded with a set fit for a disciple of Illidan.

The Battlegear of the Shattered Abyss set is as dark as the Demon Hunters themselves. It is filled with dark colors, with pops of that nasty shade of Fel Green that's so associated with the class. It's made for function, not fashion, and yet it still looks so good. Those who want to show a bit of skin with their transmog will adore this set.

8 Demonbane Armor

Set Name

Demonbane Armor

Required Level

45+

Location

The Tomb of Sargeras

The Broken Shore

If the Demon Hunters have a true arch-enemy, it would be Sargeras. The Mad Titan founded the Burning Legion, and Demon Hunters have been trying to make him pay for it ever since demons first landed on Azeroth. Illidan even becomes his eternal jailer at the end of Legion.

So it's fitting that the Demonbane Armor from the Tomb of Sargeras raid is such a good set. The full set makes Demon Hunters look even more inhumane than they normally do and highlights how much Demon Hunters have given up in pursuit of the Legion. They've sacrificed everything. What have you given?

7 Felreaper Vestments

Set Name

Felreaper Vestments

Required Level

45

Location

Antorus, the Burning Throne

Argus

Antorus, the Burning Throne was the final raid in Legion, and served as the last stand for the Legion itself. At the end of this raid, the Legion lay defeated. And Illidan was gone- left to jail Sargeras. It is fitting that a raid this important to the Demon Hunter storyline get an appropriately epic armor set.

The Felreaper Vestments feel more solemn than other Demon Hunter sets. Maybe it is a reflection of all that changed for the Demon Hunters in this raid. It comes in darker colors and has less of the flash and dramatics that other sets have. This set is perfect for a Demon Hunter who wants a few frills.

6 Sin Slayer's Leathers

Set Name

Sin Slayer's Leathers

Required Level

60

Location

Castle Nathria

Revendreth

At this point, it'd be easier to list sets from Castle Nathria that aren't a hit. Castle Nathria really was the bright spot in an expansion that remains controversial, and part of that appeal is in the set designs. Nathria had an amazing aesthetic, and that aesthetic is perfect for Demon Hunters.

Demon Hunters who want to channel their inner Van Helsing are welcome to use the Sin Slayer's Leathers set. It is perfect for those who spend their nights hunting down monsters. With the appearance of the Dreadlords in the Shadowlands plot, it seems the Demon Hunter's work isn't quite done yet. Good. The hunter is nothing without the hunt, after all.

5 Mercurial Punisher's Painweave

Set Name

Mercurial Punisher's Painweave

Required Level

60

Location

Sepulcher of the First Ones

Zereth Mortis

This set is very different from other Demon Hunter sets. The Sepulcher of the First Ones sets are all designed to look like the First Ones captured the essence of a class. They're all designed to look like a class broken down into its basic elements.

The Mercurial Punisher's Painweave really does look like the basics of a Demon Hunter. It has two large shoulder pads that resemble glaives, and the headpiece looks like the basic version of the demonic masks Demon Hunter sets like so much. This set is more sci-fi than most other sets, but it is a refreshing and fun change from the pace.

4 Screaming Torchfiend's Brutality

Set Name

Screaming Torchfiend's Brutality

Required Level

70

Location

Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope

Amirdrassil

On some level, the Demon Hunters probably respected Fyrakk. He was a giant, screaming, angry ball of fire that just wanted to cause chaos. That's kind of the Demon Hunter's whole thing. But he had to be stopped. Luckily for the Demon Hunters, he and his raid drop some pretty cool armor.

The Screaming Torchfiend's Brutality is as chaotic as the Demon Hunters themselves. It even has a floating skull mask! You usually have to play a Death Knight for that level of edge. Fyrakk seems like he would have been a kindred (or kindling) soul to the Demon Hunters. At least his armor is so fitting.

3 Gleaming Burden Of Unrelenting Justice

Set Name

Gleaming Burden of Unrelenting Justice

Required Level

1+

Location

Trading Post

Okay, this one is here purely for irony's sake. Illidan's main enemy is the Legion, but his second enemy is Maeve Shadowsong. She is the Javert to his Jean Valjean- the Warden has pursued him across Azeroth for years and was the one to finally defeat him. Needless to say, the Wardens and the Demon Hunters aren't friends.

Which makes it very fun to dress up Demon Hunters in the Warden set. This set is given out after a year of unlocking the monthly Trading Post reward, so it'll essentially unlock over time. Grab it for your Demon Hunter- if only to make Maeve mad.

2 Husk Of The Hypogeal Nemesis

Set Name

Husk of the Hypogeal Nemesis

Required Level

80

Location

Nerub'ar Palace

Azj-Kahet

What is an Old God if not a big demon, after all? With the arrival of another cosmic threat, the Demon Hunters have to take up arms once more to defend Azeroth. Those who brave the decadent Nerub'ar Palace and its dangerous queen are rewarded with a set that perfectly fits the Demon Hunter aesthetic.

This set makes Demon Hunters look like demonic spiders (which, yes, the Legion did have). It looks wonderful in all versions, but the mythic version is especially nice with its sickly blue glow and added shimmer. After fighting the Legion, playing a bug exterminator should be easy. Get in there and squash some bugs- for fashion's sake.

1 Vestment Of Second Sight

Set Name

Vestment of Second Sight

Required Level

45+

Location

The Nighthold

Suramar

Defeating the Nighthold raid requires defeating Gul'dan- the warlock who opened the door for the Third Invasion of the Burning Legion. This is a personal matter for the Demon Hunters- and it makes sense that this raid yields some of their best transmog.

Those who stop Gul'dan are rewarded with a set that just embodies the Demon Hunter class. It is both pracrical and dramatic, and shows off those tattoos they're so proud of. The headpiece makes them look demonic themselves, and it allows for any Demon Hunter to stand out. Gul'dan must be stopped. It's just a side benefit that you can look good while doing it.
