PostsWhether you're a newcomer to the genre or series or have been here from the start, there is still lots to enjoy in this tightly packaged experience. This brings us to the boss encounters, which can be pretty challenging, especially early on, forcing you to use the game's many systems and mechanics to bring them down. But which of them is the most fun to face?
6 Gouma
After you finally make it to the final boss in Warrior's Abyss, you will encounter Gouma. And, safe to say, it's not that great of a fight. Gouma is a large blob that moves around the arena in a very predictable pattern, offering almost nothing of a challenge, especially considering you just defeated the Veteran Warrior, one of the toughest challenges.

PostsAnd there's a reason for that, as this isn't the real form of Gouma, serving as a speedbump between you and the actual encounter. While it's an interesting concept, this encounter just falls flat, as you're anticipating Gouma throughout countless failed runs, only to fight this thing.
5 Magadori
Next up is the Magadori, the game's second boss encounter, and a large skeletal osprey that can offer a substantial challenge when you first get going. However, this encounter falls short because the Magadori doesn't provide that many moves, and once you beat it for the first time, you will likely never struggle on it again.
Its moves are easily telegraphed, you have ample time to punish them, and you can easily one or two-cycle it with a remotely decent build. It's a fun fight when you first start playing Warriors: Abyss and will likely end several of your runs, but it's nothing too special.
4 Onigashira
The Onigashira is the first boss you will encounter in Warriors: Abyss, and while it has the same issues as the Magadori, it serves as an excellent tutorial boss, giving it a slight edge. Its moves are supposed to be well-telegraphed, with its patterns easy to understand and get used to. It's the first boss fight of the game.

PostsWhile this encounter won't be much of a challenge to you once you grasp the game's fundamentals, it will still be the bain of your existence for many of your initial attempts. It can still prove challenging in future runs when you can ramp up the difficulty even further. This fight is simple yet crucial, as it teaches you what to expect going forward!
3 Tamahami
Moving on, we have the Tamahami, a grim reaper-esque boss encounter that is just an incredibly cool fight from start to finish. There's nothing overtly annoying about this battle, and it will prove to be quite challenging even after you're comfortable with the gameplay.
Sure, the Tamahami's moves are well-telegraphed, but the window you have to punish it with a Charge Attack is substantially tighter than the bosses before it, forcing you to lock in and learn its moves if you want to get to the next stage. This is easily one of the best encounters in the game!
2 Veteran Warrior
Our penultimate pick is the Veteran Warrior, another extremely exhilarating and undeniably cool fight, as it will push you to your limits. Not only does he have a sizable health pool, but he deals a ton of damage, forcing you to evade his attack while trying to stay close enough to counter.

PostsThis encounter is fast-paced and terrifying, as you know your run could end with one wrong move. Your heart will be racing from the moment you enter the arena and all the way through to the end, no matter the outcome. The Veteran Warrior is, without a doubt, one of the encounters we look forward to the most in Warriors: Abyss!
1 Gouma's True Form
CloseFinally, the best encounter of Warriors: Abyss is Gouma's True Form, which instantly follows after you defeat the regular 'Gouma' we talked about earlier. This fight is a step up in every conceivable way and will test your skills, earning its place as the game's final boss battle.
You must be on point for the entirety of this encounter, as Gouma's True Form deals tremendous amounts of damage and has a substantial amount of health on top of it. Not only that, but its actions are very challenging to evade and counter, which will have you desperately looking for openings as your heart beats out of your chest. And when you deliver that final blow, you will be cheering at the top of your lungs, making it the definitive best encounter!
