Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freaks is looking to scratch your Twisted Metal itch. Developed by Cage Elephant, the studio behind Grip, Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freaks allows you to take control of multiple vehicles inspired by the 2018 tabletop game of the same name, and they all pack some serious heat.

From rovers to karts, these are the best, most iconic cars and car-like vehicles in gaming.
PostsThere are two game modes in Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freaks - One where you compete to capture points on a map and another where you compete to deliver a payload before the opposing team. These orc-driven vehicles all have unique features that play an important role in these game modes, but some come with more cons than others, and only one can come out on top.
7 Looted Wagon
Impractical Fantasy Fun
CloseThe Looted Wagon is big, beefy, and packs a serious punch. It’s an orc-powered tank capable of dishing out long-range attacks via its main artillery cannon or through its hilarious special which has you take direct control of a rocket piloted by a small grot riding on top. It also comes with a useful special which has grots perform repairs on the vehicle, giving you the ability to heal on the battlefield. When it comes to embracing the Warhammer fantasy, the Looted Wagon has plenty to offer.
Unfortunately, it’s also the most impractical vehicle in the game. It is incredibly slow and lacks the dash function that most other vehicles have, limiting its speed and maneuverability. Even when you activate its boost function, it struggles to keep up to nearly every other vehicle available, making it a poor choice when racing to a new capture point. Furthermore, the aforementioned rocket special takes complete control away from the Looted Wagon, leaving you a sitting duck for your enemies to destroy. The Looted Wagon might fulfill the Warhammer fantasy, but its flaws prevent it from being a top contender.
6 Grot Mega Tank
Nice Abilities, Slow Speed
CloseLike the Looted Wagon, the Grot Mega Tank has plenty of health and firepower. It has many of the same functions as the Looted Wagon, including self-healing capabilities. However, its main draw lies in its plow, which allows you to launch enemy players into the air, making them easy targets for other members of your team. Its main weapons, a shrapnel cannon and a rocket launcher, also pack a punch that can easily take out opposing players.
Despite these upsides, it shares many of the same downsides as the Looted Wagon. The Grot Mega Tank is incredibly slow, if not slower than the Looted Wagon. It seems to have slightly more durability, earning it some points in practicality, but that doesn’t save it from being one of the more impractical choices on the battlefield. If your spawn point is near a capture point, it might be worth considering the Grot Mega Tank. Otherwise, you’re better off going for a faster vehicle instead.
5 Boomdakka Snazzwagon
Decidedly Average
CloseThe Boomdakka Snazzwagon is a great all-rounder for all players. It’s got power machine guns which are great for close combat encounters, and its secondary ability allows you to throw a molotov cocktail at your enemies, lighting their vehicles on fire. And if you’re running on low and need to make a quick escape, its special is a smokescreen that hides your vehicle from enemy players.

Posts 3There’s nothing particularly bad about the Boomdakka Snazzwagon, but there’s nothing particularly special about it either. It has average health and can deal a fair amount of damage, but it lacks the qualities that make the other vehicles in the game unique. Still, if you’re unsure about what vehicle to choose when you launch the game for the first time, you can’t go wrong with the Boomdakka Snazzwagon.
4 Rukkatruk Squibuggy
A Strong Support Vehicle
CloseThe Rukkatrukk Squigbuggy is a sleeper. Initially, it seems like there’s not much special about the vehicle. Sure, it’s got a grenade launcher that can dish out some serious damage, and it has mines you can deploy to deter enemies giving chase. However, its main power lies in its grub squigs - green globs that you can throw at your allies to heal them from enemy damage.
In a game where the destruction of your enemies is a major focus, it can be easy to forget just how important healing can be. However, you sure won’t forget how you were able to single-handedly defeat an entire squad of enemy players thanks to the support of a player in a Rukkatrukk Squigbuggy. If you’re looking for a great support option to help carry your team to victory, look no further than the Rukkatrukk Squibuggy.
3 Shokkjump Dragsta
Fast And Furious
CloseThe Shookjump Dragsta is every speedster’s dream. It’s undoubtedly the fastest vehicle in the game, allowing you to traverse great distances in no time and arrive at capture points before your opponents. Its weapons also pack a punch, coming equipped with a powerful laser rifle and heat-seeking missiles that are capable of quickly eliminating your enemies.

PostsIts special is also incredibly unique and useful, warping you out of existence to escape opponents, all the while giving you an immense speed boost. This warp ability, combined with your standard boost and dash abilities, makes the Shokkjump Dragsta the fastest vehicle on the battlefield. The only thing holding it back is the slow time between its laser rifle and rocket attacks. Other than that, it’s a fantastic choice if you’re looking for power and speed.
2 Kustom Boosta Blasta
Packed With Offensive Abilities
CloseThe Kustom Boosta Blasta isn’t the fastest vehicle in the game, nor is it the strongest. However, it comes with a powerful kit of abilities that allows it to stand out from the pack when compared to others. Its primary weapon is a precision rivet cannon, allowing you to take out players from afar with enough accuracy and skill, and its secondary launches a sticky grenade capable of doing some serious damage.
While the Kustom Boosta Blasta’s offensive capabilities make it powerful in the right hands, its jump function brings the vehicle into the next stratosphere. Having the jump allows you to be much more versatile on the battlefield. You can launch high into the air above your enemies, sniping them from above, or gain a little extra height to make a jump you would have otherwise missed. The Kustom Boosta Blasta’s abilities might take some time to master, but once you’ve got the basics down, your enemies won’t be able to stop you.
1 Defkilla Wartrike
Melee Mayhem And Sickening Speed
CloseThe Defkilla Wartrike is undoubtedly the strongest vehicle in the game. It’s got high speed, overwhelming power, and most importantly, vicious orcs ready to slice and dice any enemies in their way. The Defkilla Wartrike’s main weapon is a powerful shotgun capable of dishing out heavy damage at close range. And you’ll almost assuredly be in close range of your enemies, as the Defkill Wartrike’s special is a grappling hook that latches on to enemy vehicles, bringing you up close and personal to your targets.
The best part about this vehicle is its melee capabilities. Once you’re up close to your enemy, you can unleash a powerful claw strike, which usually destroys enemy vehicles if they’re under a quarter of their total health. Furthermore, it comes just shy of the speed of the Shokkjump Dragsta, making it one of the fastest vehicles in the game. Its health pool might be smaller than other vehicles in the game, but if you’ve got healing support, and you’re looking to blast some orcs and rack up some serious points, look no further than the Defkilla Wartrike.
