Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader - How To Find The Blood Spinners' Temple

The Void Shadows DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader introduces you to the Blood Spinners, a secretive cult of assassins living on board the Von Valancius flagship. You could just accept Kibellah into your party and make use of her unbelievable melee skills, but you'd be missing out on a lot of hidden lore.

What is a Rogue Trader without their Voidship, after all?
PostsTo get the most out of the DLC, you'll want to search the bowels of your ship to uncover the hidden Blood Spinner Temple and become initiated into their mysterious rites. You'll also get a look at how the lower-deck clans live.
How To Start The Flagship's Blood Quest
Once you've started a game with the Void Shadows DLC active, play as normal. While you're progressing through the game, you'll get an event that introduces you to Kibellah, a Death Cult Assassin who lives aboard your flagship and offers you her services. If you're starting from the beginning with a new campaign, this usually happens while you're still in the Rykad system.
Allow Kibellah to join your party and speak to her on the bridge; she'll mention that the leader of the Blood Spinners Cult would like to speak to you, but requires that you seek their hidden temple somewhere on board. She's forbidden from telling you the location, but the Blood Spinners will leave clues for you if you are willing to explore the lower decks.
Leave the bridge via the main doors at the far end, opposite the Command Throne. When the ship map comes up, a new location will be available; travel to the Freight Line to begin your search for the Blood Spinner Temple.
While Kibellah is not a required party member for this quest, the main battle is practically tailored to her fighting style.
Vat Guard Battle
When you arrive at the Freight Line, you'll be greeted by the Enforcer in charge, Eddock Frensoe. Ask him any questions that you like, then proceed forward. You'll find a symbol painted in blood; this is your first clue from the Spinners. When you see similar symbols, follow the direction indicated by the line.
Ask Fresnoe about the blood mark, and he will recite the first verse of the Song of Trailing Blood. By following the symbols, your task is to find the remaining verses. You don't have to memorize them, just finding them is enough.
Proceed to the lowest parts of the Freight Line; along the way, you'll see Enforcers burning a shantytown and encounter a guard shaking down workers for ration cards. Deal with these situations however you like, then continue to the Nutrient Vat.
Sitting in the corner to the left of the vat is a blindfolded man. Talk to him, then inspect the crates next to him. Question him about the crates, then either attack him or demand to see what's inside. The Vat Guards will turn hostile, forcing you into a fight, but the Foreman will fight as an ally.
Fighting The Vat Guards
The Vat Guards are armed with meager weapons, but have more Wounds than the average minion. Use Kibellah's Death From Above ability repeatedly to deal damage to most of them on a single turn, then have her close out her turn by finishing off whichever Guards are unfortunate enough to be in melee range of her. Area attackers like Cassia and Argenta should have an easy time clearing out the rest, especially if you don't mind using up a grenade or two.
Once you've defeated the Vat Guards, speak to the Foreman. Your next step is to return to Frensoe, but there's a shortcut if you're willing to forge ahead.

Let 'the help' do the work for you.
PostsFinding The Blood Spinners' Clues
CloseContinue past the Vat to find the slums where the Freight Line's outcasts dwell. To the left is a lift that you can use to easily return to the top level. Use this to speak with Frensoe about the situation between the Enforcers and the workers. This is an opportunity to gain points toward a particular alignment:
- Heretical: Tell Frensoe to act as he sees fit, with permission to ignore regulations for the sake of expediency and efficiency.
- Iconoclast: Demand that Frensoe keep the Enforcers in line and stop extorting the workers.
- Dogmatic: Instruct Frensoe to maintain the status quo and suppress any resistance.
Once that's done, all that's left is to do what you actually came to do; find the Temple of the Bloodspun Web. Start by returning to the area where the Enforcers were burning shacks. You'll see a burned man calling for help near a Spinner symbol. Help the victim and he'll teach you the next verse of the Song of Trailing Blood.
Next, go to the train tracks near the top of the lift. You'll see blood marks leading you to an out-of-the-way platform where a man looks like he's about to jump onto the tracks. Approach him and speak to him; he'll reveal that he was once a Blood Spinner, but was outcast because he took to murdering innocents. After hearing his story, he'll tell you the third verse. Decide his fate, then return to the slums at the bottom of the lift.
The passage to the left of Zdena where a cultist is praying is trapped, but has a box with several useful piece of equipment for Kibellah.
In the slums, speak to Zdena above the giant turbine. If you've found all three previous verses, she'll have a blood mark next to her. Ask her about it, and she'll lead you to the platform where the Outcasts pushed someone into the turbine earlier. Jump into the turbine to find the temple.
The Temple Of The Bloodspun Web
CloseThe top part of the temple consists of narrow paths; the cultists here won't speak to you, but won't impede your progress either. Make your way along the platforms until you can climb down to the main area.
Anywhere you see a ladder, climb it! There are goods stashed on the platforms at the top, but you won't be able to reach them once you climb down the ropes toward the main temple.
In the Temple, collect the chest above the Vizier and to the left, then speak to him. Ask about the tests that he made you pass, then accept initiation into the Bloodspun Web. After the cutscene, you'll be permitted to leave through the doors opposite the fountain. A cultist will offer to guide you back to the Freight Line to pick up any goods you missed, or straight back to the bridge to continue your adventures in the Koronus Expanse.
