Warframe's Duviri Paradox update has introduced a massive open world for players to conquer. Duviri itself contains plenty of new elements not seen in Warframe before, notably roguelite elements with RNG boons and randomized loadouts. Getting the most out of Duviri will require you to make the most of Duviri's randomness.

Completing these runs is worth the effort, as you'll gain access to new weapons, Arcanes, and even Incarnon Adapters for certain guns. This guide will explain everything tied to Duviri's open world, featuring explanations for all three game type variants, objectives, Decrees, how loadouts are randomized, and even how to slay Duviri's final boss: the Orowyrm.
Updated June 21, 2023, by Charles Burgar: The echoes update for Duviri is here. Named the Seven Crimes of Kullervo, this update expands all Duviri game types with new resources, objective types, and the chance of fighting the Kullervo Warframe. We've updated this guide to include information on how to obtain Kullervo and his signature shotgun. We've also updated a few sections to reflect Drifter Intrinsic and general progression changes that came with this update.
What Is Duviri?
Duviri is an open world destination that's unlocked after completing 'The Duviri Paradox' quest. Unlike most open world zones in Warframe,Duviri features roguelite elements such as randomized loadouts, build-enabling buffs called Decrees, and varied objectives. Completing Duviri runs will let you earn Warframe blueprints, exclusive Arcanes, and even Incarnon Adapters for certain weapons.
CloseOnce unlocked, you can access Duviri through the following methods:
- Enter Teshin's Cave through the Dormizone's exit.
- Open the Star Chart and select the Dominus Thrax icon on the top-right of the UI.
Either option will let you choose a Duviri experience before jumping into the open world.

Duviri Game Types And Rewards
Steel Path Duviri Runs
Players that have unlocked the Steel Path can toggle Steel Path difficulty before choosing a game type. Steel Path modifiers apply to Duviri and enhance rewards.
While active, Orowyrms drop 15 Pathos Clamps on death, from 10. The Circuit playlist also includes a unique reward track, offering Legendary Arcanes and Incarnon Adapters for certain weapons.
Three core game types are tied to Duviri's open world, all of which are available right when you unlock the destination. Each game type focuses on a particular experience that biases certain rewards, encouraging you to play all three.

Rewards
The Duviri Experience
Standard experience. Features open world and Undercroft content.
Use the Drifter and your Warframe to escape Duviri. Side objectives are enabled.
- Duviri Resources
- Pathos Clamps
- Best for farming Intrinsics
The Lone Story
Shorter runs. The same as base Duviri with no side objectives.
- Duviri Resources
- Pathos Clamps
- Best for farming Pathos Clamps
The Circuit
Warframe only. Features Undercroft content.
Complete endless Undercroft missions for rewards. Duviri world content is disabled.
- Warframe Blueprints
- Incarnon Adapters (Steel Path only)
- Best for farming non-Duviri rewards
The Duviri Experience is the standard version of Duviri with all content enabled. Players will alternate between open world and Undercroft missions, forcing you to alternate between Drifter and Warframe combat. Runs end when you summon and defeat the Orowyrm. Side content is enabled, so you can farm for Decrees before facing the final boss. This is best for players that want to explore Duviri or farm Drifter Intrinsics, as each side objective grants Drifter Intrinsic progress.
The Lone Story is the same as the Duviri Experience but with no side objectives. After completing six bounty stages, you'll be forced to fight the Orowyrm to finish your run. This is great for players looking to farm Pathos Clamps from Orowyrm kills. Undercroft stages are still present, so you'll still use your Warframe and weapons.
The Circuit is an endless gauntlet of Undercroft missions tailored for your Warframe, devoid of any open world content. Since there isn't an Orowyrm to fight or resources to collect, Circuit runs provide a unique resource track that you select before starting a run. Normal Circuit runs provide Warframe blueprints, Arcanes, and useful mods for newcomers. Steel Path versions of the Circuit allow players to earn Incarnon Adapters for pre-existing weapons, unlocking an Incarnon alt-fire and skill tree for the weapon it's socketed into.

Decrees And Teshin's Cave
Each Duviri run begins inside Teshin's Cave. Before you start your run, you'll need to select a Warframe, a primary weapon, secondary weapon, and melee weapon. By default, you'll get to choose between three Warframes and four weapons, although this roster can be expanded by investing in the Opportunity Drifter Intrinsic line. The Drifter also has their own melee options found in the corner of the cave. You'll start with Sun & Moon by default. Other melee options for the Drifter must be unlocked with either Pathos Clamps or Platinum.
Any standard Warframe and weapon can appear in Teshin's Cave, even if you don't own that item. The only exceptions are Warframe and weapon variants. For example, you can't get Excalibur Prime as an option unless you own that Warframe. However, you could get default Excalibur despite not owning them. Beyond that restriction, everything is fair game. Players at Mastery Rank three or lower also have a curated pool of Warframes to choose from. This is covered in more detail in the Duviri patch notes.
Rerolling Your Options
Your Warframe and weapon choices remain static until Dominus Thrax's mood changes, occurring every two hours. Successfully completing a Duviri or Circuit run will also refresh your options. If you have the R4 Opportunity Intrinsics upgrade, you can preview your loadout choices before starting a run by hovering over the Warframe and weapon icons displayed right under Thrax's mood.
Each Warframe and weapon will come with at least one mod configuration you can use. Items you own can use custom mod configurations, carrying over any augments, Riven mods, Helminth abilities, and/or Archon Shards equipped. Gear you don't own will come with a premade configuration. These default configurations are nothing special but can scale surprisingly well through Decrees.
Decrees Explained
Decrees are powerful boons that last for the duration of your Duviri or Circuit run. These benefits range from giving your weapons bonus Heat damage to doubling all critical damage you deal. These effects are build-enabling and greatly enhance the effectiveness of your loadout, even if you're using endgame mod configurations.
Most of your Decrees will come from objectives. Completing any bounty stage, secondary objective, or Circuit mission will grant a Decree. Pressing the gear input will let you choose between one of three Decrees—increased to four with a certain Drifter Intrinsic. There's no limit to how many Decrees you can have active. Some Decrees also have multiple ranks to them. Selecting the same Decree multiple times throughout the course of a run will increase its rank, enhancing its effects even further.
A small subset of Decrees you'll find in Duviri will contain major bonuses with harmful negatives. These are known as Spiteful Decrees and are incredibly powerful if used properly. They're quite rare, always come with a downside, but tend to scale incredibly well with the right build.
Investing in your Drifter Intrinsics will increase the probability of receiving rare Decrees and even allow you to start each run with a free Decree. Decrees and Spiteful variants are available in all Duviri playlists, including The Circuit.

Mood Spirals
The emotional turmoil that Dominus Thrax experiences will directly impact your Duviri runs. Every two hours, the current Spiral impacting Duviri will change. These Spirals influence the landscape and the damage type of all enemies. Spirals occur in the following order:
- Joy: Enemies deal Void damage. Duviri is filled with color.
- Anger: Enemies deal Heat damage. Duviri has a red filter.
- Envy: Enemies deal Toxin damage. Duviri has a green filter.
- Sorrow: Enemies deal Cold damage. Duviri's colors are desaturated.
- Fear: Enemies deal Electricity damage. Duviri has no added filter.
The Spirals aren't just for show. Certain locations on Duviri are only accessible during certain Spirals. The Archarbor can only be accessed during the Joy, Envy, and Sorrow Spirals. Amphitheater access is also restricted to the Joy, Envy, Anger, and Fear Spirals. These areas feature unique puzzles that, when completed, offer component blueprints for some of Duviri's unique melee weapons.
Additionally, the Kullervo Warframe may only be fought during the Anger, Fear, and Sorrow Spirals. These Spirals will spawn Kullervo's Hold and the jail's warden. Bribe the warden with five Pathos Clamps to fight Kullervo. Successfully beating him will drop Kullervo's Bane, a currency used to purchase the titular Warframe's parts from Arithis, a vendor that resides in your Dormizone and portions of Duviri. This currency is also used to purchase components of the Rauta, Kullervo's signature shotgun.

The Circuit
The Circuit is a game type where you choose a randomized loadout and survive as long as possible in the Undercroft. After choosing a loadout, you'll be tasked with completing a random Undercroft objective. These objectives include Exterminate, Defense, Survival, Excavation, and Survival. Completing the listed objective will reward a Decree and an opportunity to extract. Staying will load another mission and keep your Decrees, but failing to extract will void all rewards you've earned.
Decree Fragments
Every Circuit mission will spawn three Decree Fragments scattered across the tile. Find all three fragments to earn a free Decree.
While this game type doesn't have rotation rewards, Circuit runs contribute progress toward selected Circuit rewards. Before you start a Circuit, you'll be asked to choose one of three Warframes to earn. Steel Path players will also be asked to choose two Incarnon Adapters from a list of five. These aren't the only rewards. Each Warframe and Incarnon Adapter comes with a reward track that's similar to a battle pass or Warframe's Nightwave. Completing missions will grant Circuit XP, eventually unlocking the rewards you chose.
You may only earn one Warframe and two Incarnon Adapters a week. On the Sunday weekly reset, Circuit reward paths will be refreshed.

The Duviri Experience
Duviri's core playlist is The Duviri Experience, letting you experience every aspect of this open world. Your objective is to complete six stage objectives and kill the Orowyrm boss, but there is side content you can access at any point before fighting the Orowyrm. It's best to think of this mode as an open world that gives you a bounty, not a mode where you rush to the boss.
This is because the side objectives are highly rewarding, granting Duviri resources and Drifter Intrinsics. While you're out exploring, use your second ability to discover nearby side objectives. Completing these objectives will only take a couple of minutes at most and will always grant a Decree, making it quite easy to kill the Orowyrm when you're ready to end your run. Overall, play this game type when you're looking to farm resources, Drifter Intrinsics, or want to explore Duviri at your own pace.
Ending Your Runs Early
Receiving a Decree will save all resources and Drifter Intrinsics earned on your current run. You can leave after earning a Decree to save your progress, allowing you to bypass the Orowyrm boss fight if you feel underpowered or lack time. This does not work for the Circuit playlist.
The Lone Story
Despite the playlist's name, The Lone Story is just standard Duviri with no side objectives. You still get to use your Warframe, and resource rates are still the same. Since this mode focuses on the main story, the main reason to play Lone Story is to speedrun the Orowyrm fight. It's also a decent playlist for farming Duviri resources since side objectives won't get in your way. If you're looking for Drifter Intrinsics, the Duviri Experience is a much better playlist.

Summoning The Orowyrm
Once you've completed six main quest steps, you'll be tasked with summoning the Orowyrm.A waypoint on your HUD will direct you to a shrine that contains Teshin's Orvius. You must obtain the Orvius to summon the boss. If this waypoint disappears or you wait too long, the objective will bug out and soft-lock your run. You'll need to restart your Duviri run if this happens.
Once the Orowyrm spawns, hop on your horse and chase the boss. You'll struggle to get close solely by flying, so you'll need to create a speed boost. The Orowyrm will launch projectiles toward you. Damage them with the Orvius to create a wind tunnel, providing a major speed boost when entered. Repeat this process until you get close.
CloseGetting close to the Orowyrm will allow the Orvius to launch you onto the boss. Get close to the boss and use your Orvius to attach to its side. The plate will glow blue when you're in range. You'll now have to reach the head of the beast to control it. To do this, jump off of the Orowyrm, aim for a plate closer to its head, then throw the Orvius. You can typically move two plates closer to its head with each jump. Avoid the energy rings that course around its body when doing this, as getting hit will fling you off the boss.
Now that you're near the wyrm's head, interact with it to control the boss. You will now need to destroy two energy pylons in the sky to reveal the exit. Break both pillars, enter the newly-opened portal, and get ready for a boss fight.
Fighting The Orowyrm
The type of Orowyrm you'll face will depend on the current Spiral, but each fight is effectively the same. Your goal is to destroy all energy rings on the Orowyrm to free it. The boss will slither around the outskirts of the arena and bombard your position with AoE attacks. You have full access to your Warframe here, so don't be afraid to bullet jump and aim glide. You want to minimize your time touching the ground. An Archgun will also spawn at the center of the arena after a short delay. Be sure to grab it.
Each phase will have three energy rings around the wyrm's body. You must destroy all three rings by shooting them. This will stun the boss and spawn a wave of Dax soldiers. Kill the soldiers (or Wyrm minions on phase two), then focus on destroying the Orowyrm's energy rings again. Repeat this process a total of three times to kill the Orowyrm. Once slain, enter the extraction portal to end the run. You can also roam Duviri as long as you'd like to collect resources or finish side objectives (Duviri Experience only).
On Steel Path, the Orowyrm's first down phase is completely reworked. When you phase the boss, it will release a radiation explosion that covers nearly the entire arena. You must hop on your horse and reach the outskirts of the arena to stay alive. You'll need to kill all Wyrm minions to start the next phase. Stay in the air until all minions are slain, then return to the middle once the ground is safe. The second down phase is exactly the same as normal, requiring you to kill Wyrm minions. Destroy all the energy rings on the Orowyrm to finish the fight and complete your Duviri run.
