Updated by Josh Coulson at 12:01 EST on March 18, 2024: Walmart has not waited for Showtime's release day and you can pre-order the bundle through the link in the box below now, while stocks last.

Every now and again, a day comes along when two big games release on the same day, often leaving people with a tough decision to make and a trail of memes in their wake. Doom Eternal and Animal Crossing did it in 2020, and Mario Wonder and Spider-Man 2 did it last October. On March 22, that trend gets cranked up a notch as three big games will be released on the same day. Princess Peach: Showtime, Dragon's Dogma 2, and Rise of the Ronin, and one of them comes bundled with scrunchies and pastel pink Joy-Con.

Perhaps in an attempt to convince more people that they should spend this weekend as a princess rather than a samurai, Walmart has prepared a special Showtime bundle. One that not only gets you a copy of Showtime but also the scrunchies the retailer is giving away with the game's pre-orders and Nintendo's new pastel pink Joy-Con. The page for the bundle is already live, but you likely won't be able to order it until release day.

Since the page is live, we know how much the bundle is going to cost. Coming to $139.88 when all three items are bundled together, it technically won't cost you any less than it would to buy the game and Joy-Con separately. There are some plusses to getting the bundle instead of doing that, though. The scrunchies will be free, and the Joy-Con are hard to find. Right now, for example, the pastel pink Joy-Con aren't available separately at Walmart.

While they might not be the most exciting limited edition Joy-Con released during the Switch's run, they might mark a significant milestone for the Switch. With Nintendo almost certainly preparing for the reveal of its next console, rumored to be launching in early 2025, Showtime might be the last Switch game that gets themed hardware. Nintendo's two big first-party games still to come on the Switch are a remake and a remaster and probably won't be getting their own Joy-Con.

Even though 2024 is going to be a quieter year for Nintendo with the rumored new hardware preparations being put in place, there are still a handful of big games to look forward to after Showtime. Thousand-Year Door's remake and Luigi's Mansion 2's remaster, plus Endless Ocean, Super Monkeyball: Banana Rumble, and a Monster Hunter Stories collection. The first Monster Hunter Stories game is being ported to Switch this summer, and a physical edition of both games bundled together will be a Switch exclusive when it launches in June.
