There are 11 weapon types available to use in V Rising, with each one having several different versions based on the materials used to make it. Higher-level weapons have two additional weapon skills that you can use in addition to the main primary attack.

So, which weapons are the best? Here, we are going to take a look at a tier list of every weapon available in V Rising. This will rank all 11 weapons in the game, allowing you to see which is the best. Remember, every ranking is subjective; if your favorite one places low, you can continue using (and enjoying) it! There is no objective 'best weapon' in V Rising.

It's important to keep in mind that you should use multiple weapons, rather than sticking to just one! This tier list can help you decide which weapon is your 'main' one though.

V Rising Complete Weapon Tier List

Below, you can check out the tier list of all 11 weapons in the game. This is sorted by damage, skill, and ease of use. There are multiple different qualities (such as copper or iron) that can alter the power of a weapon, but we've based this on the overall general effects of each weapon when compared to the others.

You can only hold one weapon at a time, but you can quickly scroll to another weapon in your hotbar, allowing you to switch weapons mid-battle.

S-Tier Weapons

S-tier weapons are the best of the best. We've classified four weapons as S-tier; Sword, Whip, Reaper, and Greatsword.

Sword

This is an all-around great weapon, dealing a fair amount of damage while still being quick. The abilities for Sword are also unique and provide more damage.

Whip

Whips function as melee and mid-range, adding versatility to your combat. With Aerial Whip Twirl, you can also knock back enemies. Overall, the Whip is useful in a variety of situations.

Reaper

Reapers are similar to Swords, providing powerful melee damage. With Howling Reaper, you can even throw the weapon out, dealing damage and slowing enemies.

Greatsword

Greatswords are also similar to normal Swords, but deal more damage. While the Greatsword is a bit lower than the original Sword, this can be inconsequential if you stay alert and attack at the right moment.

A-Tier Weapons

Next up, we have A-tier weapons. There are three on this tier; Crossbows, Longbows, and Slashers.

Crossbow

Crossbows are the classic ranged weapon, allowing you to fire ranged projectiles and rain down arrows in an AoE. While this leaves your melee defenses open, it's perfect for striking enemies at a distance.

Longbow

Longbows are similar to Crossbows, but fire a little faster. The Longbow shines with the Guided Arrow skill, which fires an arrow that targets enemies (the amount of times targeted depends on the Focus that you have).

Slashers

Slashes are a fairly average weapon, but they truly shine with the Camouflage ability, which turns you invisible for a few seconds. This is great for stealth, as well as taking a quick moment in a boss fight to drink a potion.

B-Tier Weapons

B-tier weapons are still viable in combat, but they aren't quite as popular or strong. Here, we have three weapons; Pistols, Axes, and the Spear.

Pistols

Pistols are a great mid-ranged weapon, giving them less range than Crossbows and Longbows. The primary attack can also be slightly hard to aim, as you will need to line up the marker directly with the target. Still, the Explosive Bullet skill is a great way to avoid damage while dealing some at the same time.

Axe

The Axe is an average melee weapon that is used for tree-chopping more often than not. The Axe skills aren't too impressive; there are more unique weapons that you can use, such as Reapers or Slashers.

Spear

Spears are another average weapon that is a bit lackluster in itself. When paired with other weapons, it's a great option, but Spear skills are pretty middle-of-the-road when compared to other abilities.

C-Tier Weapons

Lastly, we have C-tier weapons. In this case, there is only one; the Mace. As such, this is the lowest weapon on our tier list that isn't typically favored by players.

Mace

The Mace is slow, but deals heavy damage. The knockback and snare effects aren't too helpful if you don't play PvP, and overall, better weapons exist. The Mace is best used to gather stone and ore.
