PostsThe battle for Fort Paradis is one of these, and you'll be able to train advanced units like the Gryphon Knights after its successful liberation. The battle itself is quite straightforward, but you have to keep a few things in mind if you want to make a profit.
Battle Overview
Enemy Level

Victory Condition
Capture the enemy command post
Defeat Condition
The Liberation's command post is captured
Time limit expires
As soon as you enter the Battle of Paradis, which you'll encounter quite early, the first thing you'll notice is that there are only four enemy groups. While the enemy command post does have a reinforcement countdown, it'll never get to call one because of how short the battle is. The groups of enemies in this battle are as follows:
- Thieves
- Hunters
- Knights
- The final group contains Knights and a Fighter
Thieves can easily be countered by putting a Hunter or a magick user on your team, which would either be Rolf or Auch if you've acquired them. On the other hand, the easiest way to counter Knights and Fighters is by putting Thieves in the front line while your back line keeps attacking them.
How To Beat The Battle Of Paradis
Since this battle is in the early game, you won't have a hard time beating it as long as you use the units mentioned above. You can even place Josef against any of the enemy units to have an easy win since he's level 20 from the start. The only thing you have to remember is the Thief leader that you'll encounter at the start of battle.
As this group gets close to your units, they'll use the Plunder skill and steal some of your gold. Once stolen, they'll quickly run through the enemy units and make it almost impossible for you to get the money back. The easiest way to counter this is by having a Fighter on one of your teams.
Fighters have the Valor point ability to provoke an enemy unit and force them to move toward their unit.
Use this skill as soon as the Thieves use Plunder and the rest of the battle will be a walk in the park. Keep in mind that you'll need one Valor point to use the Provoke ability, so you can only deploy two units at the beginning of the battle.
