PostsSome of the most special collections are those you can find with rocketships, where you'll be able to find all sorts of intergalactic goodies. This is where you can find the Space Rocks, Space Prints, and Alien Collections. If your Sim wants to have intergalactic memorabilia in their home, there are no better collections to complete than the Rocket Science ones.
How To Get Space Rocks And Alien Collections
You can find the Space Rocks and Aliens Collections while exploring space on any rocketship. While your Sim is out exploring the galaxies, pop-up events will occur on their voyage, and you'll be able to choose your adventure.
The adventures will lead to your Sim bringing home special memorabilia, namely Space Rocks and Aliens.
How To Explore Space
To explore space, you first have to have your Sim build a rocket ship. There are three available: the Steampunk Flyamajig for 5,000 Simoleons, the Apollo Rocketship for 8,750 Simoleons, and the Retro Rocketship for 10,000 Simoleons.
You can purchase all of them from Buy Mode under Activities and Skills > Knowledge.
Once you've purchased one, click on it and choose to build the rocket ship. This will take some time to complete, at least one Sim day.
Building a rocket ship will increase your Sim's Rocket Science skill, which will allow them to build the rocketship faster. At the max level of ten, your Sim can build the ship with ease.
Once the ship is complete, click on the rocketship and choose Explore Space.
Your Sim will enter the rocket ship and take off into the final frontier. When they return, they will have collected either Space Rocks or Aliens.

You will need to take multiple trips into space to get all of the collectibles.
There are various upgrades you can do to your rocketship that allow you to have a better chance at bringing home a wider variety of collectibles. Click on the ship, choose Upgrades, and choose which upgrade you'd like your Sim to install.
You can expand the Cargo Bay to bring home more items, expand the Fuel Storage Tanks to travel further into space, and more.
The more upgraded a rocket ship is, the better success you'll have exploring. A fully upgraded ship lets you bring home more rare collectibles than you would without upgrades.
How To Get Space Prints
Space Prints can be earned from the observatory by observing the sky, stargazing, moongazing, and searching for the truth. You will need to purchase the Backyard Observatory for your Sim, or find one on a public lot to use.
The Backyard Observatory can be purchased for 1,500 Simoleons in Buy Mode under Activities and Skills > Knowledge.
To find Space Prints, click on the observatory and choose either Observe The Sky,Stargaze, or Moongaze. Stargazing and moongazing can only be done at night, but observing the sky can be done at any hour.
While your Sim is looking up at the stars, they're able to gain space prints from their time. You'll need to continue performing these activities for a while to get all the prints.
Search For Truth
One of the interactions with the observatory, Search For Truth, is only unlocked at Logic skill level seven. You need this interaction to unlock three of the space prints.
Search For Truth is only available for Sims from 10:00 pm to 04:00 am, and you must be focused as well.
Your Sim's Logic skill will already be building while looking through the observatory, so simply continue to use the other interactions with it until you reach level seven.
Your Sim will gain more Logic skill XP quicker if they are in a focused mood. Enable an item's emotional auras to induce a focused mood for your Sim.

Similar to rocketships, your Sim can upgrade the observatory for better results. They can Augment the Telescopic Eyepiece or Reinforce Telescopic Pivots. Both of these upgrades will let your Sim find rarer prints.
