While starting a raging inferno can add a spark of mayhem to your Sims' lives, you may wonder how to begin your descent into becoming a virtual arsonist. Fret not, as we'll show you some sure-fire methods to set things ablaze and have your Sims run around in fear.
Cooking Catastrophes
To ignite some fiery fun, start by creating a Sim with very poor Cooking skills and have them attempt to make a meal.
A cheap quality stove will increase the chances of a fire, especially when there are posters and paintings on the wall nearby.
While the Sim won't set the kitchen ablaze every time, persistence is key to starting a raging inferno in your Sim's kitchen.
The Fireplace And Flammable Objects
Although designed to be safe, fireplaces can be transformed into a serious hazard with just a few tweaks.
In build mode, install a fireplace anywhere you like, and then surround it with highly flammable objects.
Furniture and decorations such as chairs, sofas, rugs, and books make for great kindling.
Once you're satisfied with placement, switch back to live mode, command a Sim to light the fireplace, followed by repeatedly selecting the 'warm self' option.
It may take a good while, but eventually flames will leap from the logs to your Sim and nearby objects.
How To Start A Fire With The Wizard's Set
For a more whimsical approach, indulge your inner mischief-maker by giving a child Sim the 'Junior Wizard Starter Set,' available in build mode for 210 simoleons.
Child and toddler Sims are fireproof in The Sims 4, so don't worry about needing to keep them safe. Just keep an eye out on any adult Sims as they can be engulfed in flames.
Command the child Sim to play with it for extended periods of time, and you may witness one of their scientific experiments explode into flames.
