Occults in The Sims 4 add a unique element to the game. There are already a few available choices of occults to play with, such as werewolves, vampires, and spellcasters. Most occults also have a unique skill tree that usually comes with abilities ordinary sims do not have. Some occult sims also have different needs, like mermaids needing to stay hydrated.

Previous Sims games have had several different occults, like mummies and genies. It would be nice to see some of them revamped and improved as well as a few new occults. Here are a few occults we would like to see in The Sims 4.

9 Fairies

Close
  • Abilities: To fly and have increased skill-building in gardening, mischief, and gemology
  • Life Span: Elongated

Fairies were in both The Sims 3 and The Sims 2 games, and it would be nice to see them make a return. They had pretty basic abilities like magic and a longer life span, but there is a lot to be added, for example, wings!

Adding Fairies in an expansion or game pack would be a lot of fun. There could be different types of fairies, like garden or mischief fairies that each specialize in certain abilities and skills. Having a fairy world or even fairy decorations and outfits could be so cute.

8 Shape-shifters

  • Abilities: Shapeshifting and increased skill-building in mischief
  • Lifespan: Normal

Shape-shifters would be fun in a supernatural pack along with a few other urban legend creatures. They could shape-shift into other Sims or different animals to perhaps break into houses and steal things or cause some problems.

Having shape-shifting Sims would pair quite well with the Strangerville pack, especially with paranoid Sims. Shape-shifters who appear as another Sim could cause general unease to others or even a panic if the Sim who is being imitated makes an appearance. Being able to imitate other Sims to perhaps break up relationships or get them fired from a job could really spice things up.

7 Gods and Goddesses

  • Abilities: Manipulating the environment
  • Lifespan: Immortal

Adding Gods and Goddesses could be fascinating. They would certainly have to rule over smaller things like flora and fauna or even mischief and fire. Sims could make offerings from their gardens or through actions like being nice or mean to their neighbors.

Similar to celebrities, Gods and Goddesses should have a meter for how powerful or popular they are and get perks and abilities as they grow stronger. Their reputation could also be important to how they act around other Sims and whether they are feared or revered.

6 Elves

  • Abilities: Increased skill-building in gardening, herbalism, and handiness
  • Lifespan: Elongated

Elves have been a popular want for quite some time. Adding them would make a great expansion pack, because what are elves without a majestic elven kingdom? Adding an elven world with a couple of foresty lots along with some lot challenges like simple living or animal-infested areas would be the perfect touch.

Elves would fit in nicely among the other occults and add another more nature-centered occult. Perhaps a few new elf-themed jobs could be added as well, like elven warriors or even carpenters.

5 Zombies

  • Abilities: Increased skill-building in medium
  • Life Span: Immortal

Zombies were previously both in Sims 2 and Sims 3 and seemed to be more of a hassle than anything. But there would be a few opportunities to do them justice in The Sims 4. Zombie occults could either choose to live a zombified life or have a life goal to turn human. They could also have a more ethical source of food similar to how the vampire sims can choose to drink blood packs instead.

Adding another world that is on the spookier and darker side like the vampire world, Forgotten Hollow, would be nice. It would also finally give a chance for The Sims 4 to have a proper cemetery.

4 Cyborgs

  • Abilities: Increased skill-building in handiness and programming
  • Lifespan: Elongated

Cyborgs would be such a cool occult to add. They would be half human and half robot and probably have either different or fewer needs to be satisfied like vampires, like instead of sleeping they need to recharge at a charging station. Cyborgs would probably also have a few quirks, like short-circuiting in showers.

There's also the opportunity to add certain build items for cyborgs like a repair station to fix broken limbs or to upgrade themselves similar to how Sims can upgrade the simray. It would also make a good opportunity for EA to add prosthetics to be more inclusive.

3 Sirens

  • Abilities: To turn into a human after leaving the water and an increased skill-building in charisma
  • Lifespan: Elongated

Sirens were a missed opportunity when Island Living was added. Having a wicked counterpart to the mermaids would greatly change the island's environment. Perhaps there's a bit of a rivalry between sirens and mermaids and upon meeting they start with a negative relationship similar to how werewolves and vampires do.

Siren Sims should have more enchanting and alluring qualities to be able to lure Sims to them. While mermaids have the potential to drown Sims after a bit of work, sirens should have the immediate opportunity to drown Sims.

2 Bigfoot or Yeti

  • Abilities: Attacking anyone on sight
  • Lifespan: Immortal

Adding a Bigfoot or a Yeti cryptid, not to be playable, but to be able to be menaces to bother Sims would be chaotic and fun. Yetis could haunt Mt. Komorebi to attack or sabotage unsuspecting skiers, while Bigfoot could roam Henford on Bagely or even Moonwood Mill, trying to get into crops and livestock animals.

Sims could have prep items to try and defend themselves and their property against Bigfoot and Yeti, or maybe even the chance to befriend them by leaving offerings.

1 Royalty

  • Abilities: Increased skill-building in charisma
  • Lifespan: Normal

While royalty isn't exactly a traditional occult, it would be nice to see some medieval elements in The Sims 4. There had been a previous game, Sims Medieval, that was more quest-based than anything.

Adding the chance to be royalty, to rule over other Sims, or be part of the royal court as a knight or a jester could add quite a bit of gameplay to The Sims 4. Having some extravagant royal dresses and some peasant clothes would also be nice for the rags-to-riches challenge.
