In The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs, you can train your pets to collect rare items across the world of Brindleton Bay. While a dog can dig for buried treasure, cats can chase after birds or explore bushes, and they have a chance to bring back various feather piles.

You can then display these feathers on your wall with various plaques, and collecting the entire collection unlocks a unique bird statue. If you are curious about collecting all the feathers in Brindleton Bay, check out these tips.

How To Adopt A Cat

Close

Before you can collect the feathers around Brindleton Bay, we seriously suggest having a cat in your household. You can either create a pet in create-a-sim at the very start of a new game or adopt a cat from a list of various choices.

Only cats can fetch feathers - dogs and other pets cannot.

To adopt your cat, you can either use your phone or computer, and access the 'Household' section on either of these devices. From that menu, you can pick to adopt a pet for the price of just 200 simoleons, and the cat will be delivered to your home shortly.

If you are creating your cat in CAS, then you may want to give it traits that will make it a better hunter, such as Clever and Prowler.

If you adopt a kitten, then you will have to wait for the cat to grow into an adult before it can hunt for feathers.

How To Find Feathers

Close

When you look around the world of Brindleton Bay, you will see flocks of three seagulls dotted around the landscape. If you interact with these birds, you can ask your pet to chase them down, and your cat may return with a couple of random feathers.

Occasionally, your cat can also leave the house at random times to go on adventures, and when your pet returns it may come back with an assortment of different treasures, which can include different feathers.

If you have the Get Together expansion pack, we recommend placing one of the Woo Hoo bushes on your lot. Quite frequently, your cat will fight critters in this bush and return with different feathers, which can be much easier than chasing down birds.

You will need Pet Training Level 3 to order your cat to hunt in the bush.

No matter how your cat is hunting for feathers, they will always return to your sims and drop a pile of feathers from their mouth. If you command your sim to pick up this pile, some random feathers will appear in your inventory.

List Of All Feathers

Here is a complete list of all the feathers you can collect in The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs:

Feather

Name

Value

Rarity

Description

Blue Jay

$80

Uncommon

The Blue Jay is most known for its magnificent cerulean plumage. Less known is its intelligence and propensity to be a family bird. Yet, their baseball skill remains questionable, worse than cardinals even.

Cardinal

$60

Uncommon

The colorful cardinal loves its seeds and showing off its impressive coat. While they make excellent neighbors, they are not well-known for their baseball skills.

Crow

$35

Common

This ebon plume belongs to a crafty crow. Many chase these fine avians from their homes mistaking them for thieves. They are mistaken, crows only take what they need, and never more.

Duck

$35

Common

The divine duck is hard to compare to other avians. No other bird combines an incredibly low intelligence with such fine plumage. It is a good thing they breed like pigeons.

Finch

$40

Common

Finches are very attractive birds with their variety of colors and patterns. Many covet these as pets despite the finch’s utter distaste of humanity. They are also nervous wrecks.

Heron

$70

Uncommon

Herons are fastidious creatures, grooming themselves constantly. Known for their hunting speed and infinite patience, they can be admired with no egrets.

Parrot

$120

Rare

Parrots have a variety of beautiful feathers. Rare in these lands, these feathers are often prized more than the birds themselves. They tend not to bite and talk back.

Pheasant

$90

Uncommon

While usually prized as game birds, the male pheasant has incredible plumage. Collectors will admire their feathers while considering what to have with the rest of the bird for dinner.

Pigeon

$25

Common

Pigeons can be found all over the world. Often called the rats of the bird kingdom, the pigeon has been unfairly maligned. It is quite majestic compared to many nonflying creatures.

Puffin

$110

Rare

Usually a frozen weather creature, it is rare to see a puffin feather around these parts. Lost on its way to a breeding colony perhaps? Or fleeing Iceland?

Seagull

$30

Common

This somewhat elegant bird roams coastal lands but is sometimes found inland. Its activities include fighting over trash, stealing food, and making dockworkers angry.

Spotted Sixam

$200

Rare

A rare find indeed, experts thought this owl long gone from the world. Its otherworldly plumage had scientists convinced it was a stowaway from forays to a nearby planet. This will make an impressive showpiece in any feather collection.

After you have collected all 12 feathers, you will unlock a sculpture of the Sixam Owl, which you can display around your house.
